I belong to a few car clubs here in the Phila,PA region and it's amazing how many Mommy and Daddys buy their young sons cars that they probably shouldn't be driving and they sure as hell can't afford....

About 2 years ago, a young guy, early 20s, Daddy bought him a used Viper... guesss what happened ???? Crashed and burned.... racing down a strip of road where alot of young hot dogs think they can race..

Because generally those that are "given" things usually don't appreciate them or treat what they have with respect.....

People that work hard for what they have, have a greater respect for what they own...

Why does it matter how someone else obtains things in their lives? Especially a car?!
Keep the tread on topic which is about pricing of the ZL1 SSX wheels, not how people are going to pay for them

+1. Don't be jealous of anyone. Sure, I'm 20 and own a modified SS. Everything has been paid by me, monthly. No need to bring up "mommy and daddy" just because of age.

Your logic makes no sense.. If you put 10K on a CC and paid it off in a few months you would pay very little interest so there is no reason not to use a CC.

LoL about the "chrome plating"........ Not real chrome, oh my goodness... Help me Lord !!!!

Wow... It just sounds like your jealous and bitter that people younger than you have nicer things than you.. When in reality your just coming off immature. Work hard and buy what you want but no need to hate on anyone else who is fortunate to have nice things.

Yeah... Not very many people will be paying that amount for those rims. Yes they are sexy, but shit for that price? What.. Are they made out of some crazy Carbon Fiber finish?

There must be a deal to be had with these. Do these SSX rims fit the 2012 OEM tires btw?

Have you ever noticed how much a good set of forged wheels go for on here?
Wheels can be pretty pricey, there are rims for $10000, heck even more.
Would I pay 10k for a set of wheels? No
But would someone else who has the money to do so buy a set? Sure, why not. If you have the money available and want something, why not buy it?
Who needs a 500k lambo, or 300k Ferrari? No one NEEDS anything, but people desire things, and if they have the funding to do so, why shouldn't they?

Lets get this thread back on topic....jeez

there much wider then our stock 20s so im 99% sure they wont fit, but im no wheel specialist so I cant say im a hundred percent sure.
Our 20s are 20x8 in the front and 20x9 in the back.
The ZL1 wheels are 20x10 in the front and 20x11 in the back.
Our rear tires may be able to stretch on the fronts but I wouldnt do that.

For fun when im bored and this helps to build my confidence up is I call USAA and talk to a financial advisor just to hear them say and they always say this..."how did you build your credit so fast?! how?! I simply reply... you should know your a financial advisor, i mean dont you gys special is credit building and your asking a 22 year old how to build credit? lol i do it bc it makes them feel like poo lol... but all in fun of course... but anyway i teach them how to build their own finances... now what if i used this as a profession? end of the world as we know it... This thread is hilarious...Drake - don't feel the need to justify yourself - for what?

3-piece wheels (like Asanti) can cost $10+ K with sizing, color matching, extra "lip", etc... so what's the big deal about what he (Drake) spent. A guy in my hometown dropped $30K for some custom Asantis for his lambo (wheels, tires, hardware) - so what?

I REALLY hope the ZL1 wheels aren't that high. They are pretty nice...
