Just out of curiosity, will I get codes of one sort or another if everything is disassembled for a week or so? I have the HUD, but still interested in changing the LEDs in it.

When I had the 1LT, I wanted to add the HUD, but my dealer said that it was "a factory option only".

You may, but i think if you don't connect the battery back up till your done it will be fine, But i have not tested it.

My dealer said it could not be done either. He said if I wanted HUD he would make Me a Nice deal on a 2011. With Ofer's help I PROVED my dealer to be WRONG. When my dealer saw my car with the HUD installed and working, his mouth dropped and then he compared my car to the ones he had with HUD and could not fine any difference. Then he asked me how it was done and if he could send people my way who wanted to do this.

I had mine apart for a month with the battery disconnected. No codes and everything worked fine. O, I have a question 2SSR. If you have a 1LT or a 2LT do you need to have a Guage Package installed to add the HUD??

The 2LT, just like the 2SS, already come Standard with the Guages in the Center Console. 2SSRS (Ofer's) car is a 2SS, and we (me helping) installed the HUD in his the day after Thanksgiving (Friday) in 2010 and then in my car, a 2LT/RS the next day (Saturday). The 1LS, 2LS, 1LT, and 1SS do not have the Gauges in the Center Console, they just have a tray to put coins and other stuff.

Finally we started at 10 am with the HUD Install and Finished at around 6 30 pm 8 hours with a Lunch break the Removing of the dash and putting it back didn't take as much time as the Cutting of the dash, still my dash suffered a scratch and where the hud switch is located also suffered 2 bruises but it well worth it ill cover them later with some leather inserts.

I send my sincere gratitude to Ofer who helped me over the phone, and for the harness. Ofer ur kindness is very well appriciated wish u all the best.
Patric thank you for the parts.

Now I'm proud to have the 1st 2010 Camaro with and HUD in the Middle East

Patrick these are the pics that I took, Not alot, sorry for the poor quality they were taken with my blackberry. I was concentrating alot on the job and i am not in any of the pics. We were 4 guys working on the car.

The car originally came with Black Leather, and I didnt like the Inferno Orange I had someone remove the Leather upholstery and Diamond double stich Red Suede, the Headliner is all Suede. Funny enough when we Removed the OEM Leather, It wasnt Real Leather, It was Synthetic I thought that was a rip-off from GM.

Funny enough Ofer how the love for cars brings people together, and politians split them apart. It puts new insight, it gives people a better understanding especially when you are met with kind words and helpful insight. Thanks again buddy couldnt have done it without u man.

Dash out, HUD installed on Dash, HUD panel installed in Dash. Try to fit dash but bottom driver side not seating correctly. Top is perfect, right side is perfect. Almost looks like the dash is out about a half and inch.
Any ideas.
