Best code to be at befor calling GM CS?

I'm at 3000, would they be able to help me, or would a higher number be better to get the best info from them?

Don't even bother calling them IMO. They have been absolutely useless to me since this whole fiasco began. Your dealer is still your best avenue for information.

Just a question. How are you getting a TPW with a status code of 3000? I was under the impression that no TPW's happen until status code 3300. It seems like a lot of folks at 3000 are saying that they have TPW's. Is this just what your dealer told you, your best guess, or is there a workbench document that you have that shows it?

Unless it finally changed, I have yet to see a TPW on any car. People are seeing or being told about TPP (target production period) which shows up in Pass One after the car is tagged for submission and pulled by GM. I NEVER had a TPW listed.

That is kind of what I had heard. But it seemed like a lot of folks are claiming TPW's and the like. I have even seen one that claimed a TPW at status 1100. I was just wondering where they were getting this info.

You are not being told the truth event code 3000 has no TPW..... your dealer is lying to you .... you get a TPW at 3300. Your dealer needs to know how to use the system if it's your salesman he probably don't have access to it. JUst got off the phone earlier today with the owner of the dealership (his) yes he bought the first one they could get. His car has a TPW and is at 3300. his is right in front of mine and I'm at 3000 with no TPW. tell him to show it to you on the computer.

Don't tell me that. Mine went at the same time, and we all asumed I would be at the May 4th production week. I am at 3000 now with no production week. I've also read that some that were pulled on the 14th were given a tpw of 4/27 (a week befor mine).

So, what, some are being pushed back, and some are being pushed up. Doesn't make too much sence. Then again, it never has.

I'm at 3800, called the center last tuesday and they blew me off. However....I got a return phone call from them today (saturday), and they guy promised to call me back wednesday with further information. He lit up when I told him I had a VIN, and said that will help him find further info for me. I asked if he could find shipper info etc. and he said he will attempt to do so monday when the offices he needed to contact would be open. It seems that there is no consistancy on how much help individuals get from the customer service center, but I give them credit for trying.
Lets just hope that all issues GM has on these cars get resolved soon and we all get a big surprise well before hot rod season starts in ernest.
