still over hyped IMO it`s not like it blew the boss off the track. If the reg boss beat the camaro SS by 2 secs lap we all be saying not that big deal considering the boss made for handling, our SS are heavy etc, etc....

Now we have a camaro ZL1 with it`s super high tech state of art suspension, ton of power and all the hype they shoveled at us and now...

2 SECS faster than Boss LS and now it`s night and day difference and I should be impressed.

Ummm the gtr didn't even beat the z06 at the ring let alone the zr1

Your not seeing my point. What i'm trying to say is the Mustang is the only Car they have as a Hot rod V8

So they have different models, The're top dog being the GT 500 Cobra.

Chevy has two cars the Camaro and the Vette. Chevy is not going to build a Camaro that will outdo the Vette, that would make the Vette obsolute. And I believe you could buy a Vette that will outrun the GT500 less than $110,000

I realy can't wait to see the reviews of the 13gt500 and the zl1.
It realy isn't all about horsepower. Check out car and drivers lightning lap results from last year.

The zr1 was 1.7 seconds quicker, in basicaly the same car, only difference being the 133hp and 130 tq difference.
I'm sure in a straight drage race, it would be a different story though.

oh yes it did and it beats those two cars any way you wanna line them up. I am Corvette fan (Z06 sand ZR1) but the GT-R is faster than both.

Not if you look at the list of times. Both manufactures ran the ring, and the ZR1 beat out the GT-R ...

ZR1- 7:19.63

GT-R - 7:24.2

Both were tested in 2011 ...

The ZL1 is very impressive but I prefer that Z06. The GT-R is awesome but I won't own one unless given to me for free.

That was on Slicks.

GTR ran the 7:24 on Street tires.

Fastest time for the ZR1 on STREET TIRES was 7:26.

Imagine what the GTR would do with Slicks all around to make it fair?
