Fog light install issue. Need help

Hi all

I just finished installing fog lights on my 2012 LS. I followed the instructions and even watched the video by camaro Scotty. Everything went as planned but when I turn them on one was bright and one was dim. I checked the ground and it seems fine. Not sure what else it can be other then maybe a bad bulb?

Thx in advance
Dom

What or where did you use for your direct power? Fuse box inside the cabin or under the hood? Did you splice the power and pigtail it or do they have their own dedicated line for power? What and where did you use for your ground? Got any photos you can post for us to see how you wired it? And did you put in a new switch or use a GM switch integrated with the light switch?

What kind of kit or lights did you get?

Surely you didn't... But I have to ask. Did you wire the lights in series? (i.e hooked the second lights positive terminal up to the first lights negative terminal). This is really the only thing that would cause this other than a bad ground or bad / loose bulb I think. I've been wrong once before though

Absolutely agree with this solution, check to see how you wired them, in series? Photos would be great!

I used a proper wire harness form foglightwiring.com. Pigtailed off the side marker light on the pass side of the car so that the lights come on with them. I grounded to a factory screw on top of the passager front quarter panel. I followed this video to the letter.

If you followed it exactly like the video they should be working. I can only guess that you might have a bad relay module. Or your pigtail crimp might not be solid connection.

I think it's the bulb itself. I swapped the lights left and right and the dim bulb is dim on both sides. I assume that means it the bulb?
