2013 gt500 650hp running 15psi???

Boost is just a measurement of the restriction of getting air into the motor. Don't get caught up on PSI numbers. My car sees 5.5-5.8psi but makes over 700rwhp. Adding headers, cam, heads, etc all lower the boost because it free up the restriction and lets the motor flow better.

Because higher PSI means more octane is needed to ward off detonation. In order to compare boost you at least need to know how much compression the engine is at. Yep, running 15+ in my wrx and it's a much lower compression engine than my LS3. Not really amazing or interesting that the mustang runs 15, it just most likely has a compression ratio to compensate so that it's not being torn apart by detonation constantly.

There is no replacement for displacement.

(However you get there, comparable mods, the bigger engine always wins the horsepower war)
