Lame answer dude...
What do you want me to tell you? Your a big boy, if you don't like it when you pick up your car, don't accept it. As I have stated before, these are isolated minimal cases. It has to do with the material and painting process. We do not use laquer based paint, we use water based paint, and so do our suppliers. If it looks so bad, go buy something else.

I personally don't see the problem, its a crappy pic, and out of the few thousand camaros I have built, I have only seen 1 mismatched bumper which was fixed before it left.

We have guys (and gals) every where. On all sorts of other forums looking up info. to keep us informed. Somebody would have posted it. It just so happens that Garagelogic was the first to find it. Take it easy on him. He is one of those that obviously likes this car just like the rest of us. Look at his post count if you don't believe me. That tells ya something...

I prefer quality over quantity.

I also have something else to add. Metallic paint changes the reflectivity on plastic/metal!!!

Case in point, my 07 Chevy Cobalt SS SC, Lazer Blue Metallic. Look at it in ANY light with your eyes, and you can't see any difference, the whole car is the same colour.
BUT, point a camera at it, take a picture, and wa la!, this happens! BUT ONLY IN THE PICTURE! And guess why this happens? That's right!

If they could match em' 30 years ago......

Here's a photo of my 78', which I believe was the first year Camaro's had an all-urethane front fascia...(Sorry, not the best quality photo)

But the fascia color-matched rest of car very well.....So, I would assume 30 years later, GM can still accomplish the same thing, and those pre-production Camaro's are just a fluke.

Everybody calm down you need to wait and see what happens with production cars, I can tell you this. The picture I posted previously, I took and the picture does the color difference justice including the gap. In person it appeared just as visible in the picture if not more so. I would bet it was a CTF car but still the difference was there. I'm not making this up. I'm a loyal GM customer I've owned 3 camaros. I can probably tell you every flaw the 4rth Gens had with no reservation but I still love those cars. Now that being said I've ordered my car months ago and I'm hoping they did a better job. Like others have stated this is not anything new the corvettes have had this problem for some time. Just because you have not noticed or have witnessed them does not mean it's not their. So lets stop attacking each other and making excuses, lets start addressing the problem.

we already know that this color is very different in different lighting.

try and snap one at the same angle without the flash.

... its odd that this pic comes from someone who makes fun of the camaro in his avatar and drives a mustang.

I've noticed in several pictures a different colour tone between the front and the hood and sides.

I took this picture. I looked at that car in person.
I had seen the color mismatch in the CTF cars.

This production car had perfect paint match.

Don't judge the whole lot just because of a few pre-production ones.

I've noticed this since we got those really nice high quality shots of the RJT SS a while back. As we can see in HuJass' beautiful photo above, it certainly isn't a universal problem. RJT and IOM are very dynamic colors when it comes to light conditions. If you car comes with a mismatched front fascia, I wouldn't accept delivery until it was fixed, but this is probably not a very widespread issue.

Mismatched shades will be a big issue with any body work or painting done to anything added on after the factory. It is with any car. My grandma had to replace the painted tire cover on her Rav4 (what a stupid, stupid design) and the shades aren't anywhere close.

my 2000 ss, has as all do, three diffrent materials for the body, abs plastic, fiberglass and metal and the paint is perfect no mis match
