im interested to see what that new intake going to look like! do you have an idea of power increase over a FAST intake?

I have to make a decision on a boost controller next... do I go with the AMS1000 (the best for racing, but expensive), or somethin else?... I'm leaning toward the AMS1000.
let me know when it starts getting wired up. I'm running a greddy eboost controller. I talked to my shop about getting the AMS1000 to help me grab traction in lower rpms, but as the lowest possible settings im still breaking my tires loose. What do you plan on controlling with the AMS?

I dont think robert has his wired up yet either.

To be honest, I'm not sure. I am doing it partly for aesthetics and party because I've heard a few stories of Fast intakes not working will high-boost cars. So, I opted to get the Hogan which several members have recommended.

There is going to be a bit of a delay getting mine wired up. I have decided to send my car out for a 10-point cage. That's gong to slow things down for a few weeks. :(

I did get a look at a car at IPS today (the Atomic Fusion C6) which has an AMS1000. They have a CO2 tank connected to it. There must be some pressure valve they use that for, but I didn't have time to investigate it. The mechanic said the AMS1000 is not a trivial device to install and tune, but he did say it is the best for drag racing. I'll try to get more info on that.

I do know that speedster is planning to use the AMS1000. He may be ahead of us all when it comes to getting his working.

I'm not dragging my car at all but it does get a lot of track and road course time. Let me know if you get any more details! I'm a little hesitant to pull the trigger on a $1k part that wouldnt do much good!

I will try to get more information from IPS about it and post it here.

The AMS1000 is easily the best boost controller for drag racing. It is extremely accurate and has a lot of options to provide precise control. The CO2 is used as a boost reference instead of actual boost pressure for more accuracy and consistency. It allows you to run a smaller wastegate spring for lower boost while launching and at lower RPM's and then you can ramp the boost in. It's not easy to wire or tune but it's a great controller for drag racing. For regular street driving and milder applications it's a little overboard though.

Thanks for the explanation.

Don't add it up! I'm in the middle of a build now too, although not as extensive as yours, but the last thing I want to do is start adding invoices lol. Just enjoy the ride.

I'm trying, but I tend to worry about finances constantly. But, I've wanted to do this my whole life. It's the ONLY thing that's been on my bucket list since I was about 14 years old. So, I'm going for it. Just this once!
