Anyone who has ever worked with steel or metal of any kind knows that a right angle in the same plane as the load will increase rigitity of the part.
But that would cost another $.50 and reduce investor profits.

I am glad one of the fixes is in but this doesn't address the top mechanics. I asked when the top mechanics fix was going to be ready and I was told again by the GM rep there was a fix being worked. (maybe they are documenting sux fix ?)
Well I'll get feedback on the water management fix later this week and post anything I find out.
Just wondering if SUX actual is working for GM ? (only kidding sux)

Good to hear Nutt, hope it works for you! I'm waiting in some more feedback for Sux's latest fix as well.

You were in my TPW last year, right?

Most of what is here is sharing of experiences so if the top problem occurs you can be educated. I'm sure it's the same in the other parts of the forum.
+1. Although, if I do experience top issues I have to say I will probably not be as patient as many of you. Kudos for your perseverence!

Sounds like your dealership is doing the right thing!

Hey Chevy you are about to loose a loyal customer. Dealer has car 3 weeks new top and another 5th bow get car today everything looks great top tight no wind noise just like new again. Get home put in garage and test operation of top BAM!!!! 5th bow bent again. Chevy lied about the testing and took advantage of our loyalty and rushed this car to market. Do I really have to go to a Mustang???? I really don't want to I love driving this car but you sons of bitches are working on my last nerve. I am sick to my stomach right now after leaving a bad news message with my service writer. This is not the dealers fault. All blame lies with the jackasses at Chevy. Engineers my butt. Tech school students could do better!!!

Well guys I don't know if you have seen my post on the Facebook site but I am going to be getting a new vert. Now I am not sure whether to go all summer again and get a 2013 sometime in August or order one in April with May delivery on a late model 12. If I only knew if there would be a fix in by then. Decisions decisions. Help would be nice.

What ever happened to the permanent "fix" coming in mid-January? Must be a production delay

Just curious.......... are the back windows electric roll down? I sure wish they had made the coupe with roll down rear windows for a total open look! It's hard for the passengers in the rear seat to get rid of their cigarette ashes or throw fire crackers out at passersby.

Methinks that was a joke (notice the emoticons that ended up at the other end of his sentence ).

But I did notice that you guys didn't take issue with the firecrackers out the window, heh heh.

Hey there..
You know my story. I took delivery of my 2012 last week. The top problems I had with my 2011 got out of control, poor experience with service dept, car met all lemon law requirements, and gm bought my 2011 back.

I got to keep my 2011 while waiting for my 2012 to be built and delivered.

My .02 - I love the car. I don't want a coupe. I get to start over at 0 with 3/36 warranty. I found a dealer that is sensitive to this issue and has experienced corvette convertible techs on staff. GM stood behind their product and will continue to do so (I believe).

I'm extremely pleased I went this route instead of full refund or going for a different car altogether.

Congrats Bird!

p.s.pay no attention to the yellow poser
