They can Perform Quite well with a few Tweaks, it is a Large Supercharger 2.8 that I feel is best suited for Higher HP Levels.

We recently put down 700 RWHP on 93 octane with a KB 2.8 LC, My Blower Cam LT headers, My Air intake pipe, and My Custom Tune, ID-850 Injectors on an otherwise Stock LS3

They tend to run a bit hotter than most on the market so we added a Larger Heat Exchanger which helped out a lot.

Pretty much 8 psi of boost is 8 psi of boost as long as IAT is Reasonable the Positive displacement blowers will put down about the same power.

560 RWHP is common at this boost level with Headers and custom tuning on an LS3 and 505 RWHP on an L99.

Feel Free to call me with any questions.

Ted.

The one I think it is most comparable too is the whipple since they are similar in size. And even with them being that close its more personal preference. But like said above the KB has some good amount of heat.

Gary from Gary's Customs has a Kenny Bell super charger. You might want to shoot him a pm about it.
