After looking at his 2nd pass ever, I think it is impressive what he managed considering both windows were wide open = considerable drag at speed. Wheel hop on launch which is troubling for IRS components and new owners. Slow 1-2 shift. Hit the rev limiter on 2-3. Good 4th gear shift. Went thru the traps at the bottom of 4th at 113 MPH.

I gotta go along with the others here saying that is a piss poor video.... i mean the hype around this car and then Chevrolet posting a low 12 sec run?... why would you want to add insult to injury by putting this jackleg journalist in a car to say an "independent racer" run this car.... its quite embarrassing in my opinion.

It was nice to see a video, though, I wish I could be supportive of how good it actually was. What's a reviewer doing that hasn't drag raced before doing reviewing a car at the drag strip?

Regardless - I thank the person for some great views and sounds. I appreciate the effort

Dang dude for your first time I give you props! Yea it's a little nerve wracking, we have all been there and anyone that says otherwise is lying.

First run no launch control. He either ran it with the car's traction control fully on or off. I couldn't tell. I'm guess off because of possible tire slip.

Second run, launch control was on. Improved his time by .5 seconds

I did notice he was shifting high on his revs. If he would have power/speed shifted I'm guessing he could have been in the high 12's

For Arizona times that's GREAT!!! In Phoenix the elevation is around 1100ft. If I could know the day and time he ran I could figure out the DA and what the car could have ran at sea level.

This might just be my ocd, but did you notice that the wheels were silver the first pass and black the second? Switched off cars I guess?
