wow, some of you guys really take these things personally. All my disagreements (and agreements) have been in a respectful manner.

Fine.

I was just being funny. And a little mean. But funny too.

But if we take things 'Personally' maybe it's you seem to have zero critisism for the Ford and a ton for the Chevy. ON a Camaro site. Just comes across a certain way.

if people were saying things that werent true about the camaro, i would chime in and say something. Im not even critisizing the chevy though. at least what ive said about the ZL1 i wouldnt count it as critisism. But ive mentioned on a few threads possible negatives (jmo) about the gt500 as well. it just seems a few people here get mad if you dont automatically accept agree with everything thats posted and get labeled a troll. Over on LS1 tech (i used to own a 4th gen) they have pretty bad things to say about the 5th gen and more than a few people there take it personal that i dont agree with everything they say about the 5th gen either.

The vid was great.

I wonder if the local dealer would consider an even swap...a ZL1 for a '10 2SS + an updated 69 Z/28 clone?

I went back and read through a lot of your posts. I agree you are not the typical troll. But you are not going to let anyone say something you don't agree with. Which most of us are that way too. Problem is one side will say something that the other guy can't let go. Then the other side begins to get a little more strong in their feeling. Then the first side senses that and each exchange gets the two sides further apart. The 'respect' is often by default of forum rules and to the more reasonable posters it's common sense.

But given all of that, and admitting we all tend to start getting carried away, at the end of the day it's a Camaro forum. We welcome the rivalry and opposing view points but not the argumentative ones. Because it's a Camaro site. You are a guest in our house. And YES, I can't stand some of my Camaro brothers who are blind fanboy antagonizers. BUT, this is where they can come to do that.

This is just my opinion. I'd never even go to a Mustang site to participate. I"d want to correct their info and inject my opinions there and I know I'd be out of place and so I don't even go. If I did, and got out of place I'd expect to get harrased.

Take it for what it's worth. Don't be thin skinned.

i still think the ZL1 will be putting down close to 480rwhp. judging on the trap speeds. also ZR1's make what? 60 more hp and put down 530-540rwhp. and thats with a more efficient drivtrain

Nice find by OP. Shame the car found it in the hands of an inexperienced driver. Word to the new ZL1 owners to come. Dont take it to the track on stock tires. It will prove to be frustrating beyond belief.

CTS-V's rated at 556 are putting down 480-485rwhp, I would guess the ZL 1 to be in the 500-510rwhp range.
