The reason I ask about this CAI it is someone here on Oahu selling it. I'm leaning towards CAI actually. I didn't want to have to get all this high tech tunes and adjustments done to my camaro. With the CAI I can just install and go right?

Well count me out of any rides or meets anytime soon. While going to pick up my brother in law in Kapolei, I was hit. I stopped at an intersection and as I started to go a truck from my left side came flyong through. My drivers side door won't open and dents on both front and rear quarter panels.

Not a good evening for me. I'm so upset. At least no one was hurt.

Oracle Lights.

Got my car back yesterday. Lights not working correctly so they are getting in touch with Oracle to resolve the issue. Basically both lights and fog halos were working fine for about 20 minutes when they noticed that the passenger halo was dropping colors until only the green color worked. The drivers side was fine. When I went to pick up the car, they were getting ready to show me how the remote works when we noticed that the halo on the driver side wasnt matching the same color of the fog light. That was when we found out that the drivers side lost the white color which was causing them not to match the fog halos when they were cycling thru the colors. So now have green only on the passenger side and all colors working except white on the drivers side. Hopefully they will come up with a resolution soon.

The colors are really vivid!

Sorry to hear that. I should of mentioned that it would be a good idea for the installer to run the lights overnight for a "burn in" test prior to installation. A good 8-12 hours initial operation is not perfect, but sometimes reveal issues.

That sux. Main thing no one was hurt. Wasn't this the second time it was hit?

I just ordered a new set of 275/40 and 315/35 Nitto Invos from Amazon. My tires are 2-years old and rears are getting bald. Discounttire wanted almost $400-$500 for tire credit/replacement plan and shipping on top of the $250 & $300 per tire cost.

4-Wheel parts didn't charge shipping when included with they normal stock runs, but delayed and prices way over $300/each.

Amazon was $254 & $299 plus $6.99 expedited shipping each tire. Delivery is between Feb 2-8. Amazon's return policy is awesome, but still need to do the leg work for unmounting and re-packing to ship for problems.

Now, I need to find a good shop to mount and road force balance that would butcher my rims.

If anyone interested:

I would call David Reid at Mod Industries. The guys at Ron's are good too.

What made you go with the Invo's? The NT05's would have worked better for AutoX (but cost about $500 more).

Sorry to hear that Craig. Glad you okay. I would recommend George at Autoconcepts, he just finished my wife's mini-van. Also did work on my Camaro. Good luck.

I believe Brad said they are starting in Hawaii Kai, but not sure how many points and finish.

Actually, we are starting at Stadium Mall parking lot and will be ending at Hawaii Kai beach park. There will be stops/checkpoints along the way. You will need a navigator to check distance, time, etc. and interepret routes. Also, you have to answer questions along the way (based on the routes). All done on public roads so must be in compliance with all laws (e.g. no speeding, illegal turning, etc.). Its more of the "fun" event with a luncheon at the end for comradarie with other auto DRIVING enthusiast.

This is the first Road Rally in Hawaii so there will sure to be some bumps along the way. So please plan on having fun at this event as we are all part of this learning process. This will help determine if we have more events as well.

I will be rocking the Camaro! Wife will be rocking her Mini Van, kids in tow...

Hope you can participate!

George at Autoconcepts or Jabal at AutoCustom. I cant remember how much my Invos were, but also had other stuff done at AutoCustom. Satisfied with his work. Took 3 working days to get the tires in.

I was thinking of taking to Sig's in Waipahu for the repairs, but I'm always open to try recommendations from other's so I'm going to look into Autoconcepts. Soon as I heal from my surgery that is.

Where is Autoconcepts if you don't mind me asking?

I like the invos for every day driving. The nt05 and nt05r may get me in trouble when caught in rain storms. Plus, i hate tire road noise and harsh ride. Went through the same with my 4runner for street and kaena point jeep trails. Compromise.

Im actually looking at cheap 18x10 all around as dedicated wheels. Depends if we go to the East coast in the Fall or not.

Otherwise, invos will have to do for now.

BTW, Amazon had the nt05, nt05r, and nt555. Nt05 were not that much more. Nt05 275/40r20 are $255 and $6.99 expedited shipping with prime. No 315 with prime.

Just checked on shipping and all 4 tires, ordered last night, will arrive Feb 1 using Fedex 2nd day for $6.99/each. I love Amazon.

Yeah, I've been toying with a set of 18's for track use (R-Comps). May wait now that I plan to run the EVO next season. Maybe run the Camaro in 13-14 season. Thinking might run SM and use both my Camaro and STi.
