my '10 has 11,100 miles on it... its not my daily driver, but I DO drive it quite a bit, I bought it the 1st week of August and it had 5600 miles on it, so i've put 5600 on it, but over 500 of that was in one trip, lol

bought in september of 09 and have 48500 miles on it. i dont care about miles. And IMO yes its a car meant to be driven. Not everyone can afford "toys". Some of us work hard for our 1 nice car. I work hard for my car and every mod I put in it. Im just one of those guys that doesnt have a huge retirement or salary for such things as toys aka "weekend driven only if its a perfect day'" car.

A good friend and fellow camaro owner once told me......

"U know what I don't get? People who buy cars and then store them for the nxt 20 years.....that's like dating a super model and not touching her because you want the next guy to enjoy her."

IMO you only live once. enjoy everything you have like no tomorrow.

I bought Mine last May. I drive it every chance I get which might be once a week. As a result it only has 1557 miles on it.

This is my first Camaro, and living in Wisconsin, we get snow. I knew when I bought the Camaro that it wouldn't do well in snow. So, I park it for the winter.

I love driving my Camaro, and it's hard to look in my garage and see it just sitting there. I don't really care about milage, cause my dad always said "why save it for the next guy", drive it.

So, to answer your question, mine gets parked in the winter, not to keep the milage down, but because it won't go through snow. Plus, Wisconsin uses salt, too much salt, in the winter to keep the roads clear, and salt is hard on aluminum wheels and metal body parts.

4,100 miles only pulled out for shows and races. Although, I am starting to think about driving it more as it seems such a waste to leave it sit.

Have a 45th Anniversary camaro here. I got it Sept. 9th and will hit 4k miles this weekend. I decided that I wasn't going to garage it.

As many have said already, I bought the car to drive it. That doesn't mean I won't try to keep it looking nice, but I just can't justify that kind of money for something that sits in my garage.

The car is for me to enjoy, not just to look at but also to feel.

I have family that kind of goes overboard on collectibles in general and I think that's helped my opinion about using what I buy. It turned me off from storing something for potential future value based on seeing how they reacted to and treated things.

With all due respect, I guess you and your friend don't get it.

It's not like I'm dating a supermodel and never touching her; it's more like I'm making love to her everyday for 20 years and she'll never get old, fat, tired, and wrinkled.

Think about that. Using your analogy; my car will always be fresh, young, eager, and willing.

+1...Well put, Alfie...thank you...I see the irony here as those who think our cars are being "wasted" or "saved for someone else" or not "enjoyed" miss the point entirely, when in fact the exact opposite is true!

With all do respect I think you don't get my point. Not everyone is graced with the income to have a trailer/garage queen. Or by your analogy i would say a trophy wife. Sure she younger and sexy, wears all the latest fashion and people will stare. But in the end either you'll grow tired of her or find somthing new or all that plastic surgery will no longer be tasteful. As for me no matter how many wrinkles and what age she is.....she will always be mine and will lover her for it and every moment I spent with her. IMO of course.
