Please do not build a 1LE OR Z28. I will have to buy it and I have three kids in college.

I'll still wait for the Z/28. The 1LE would be a good SS option. Once the C7 Corvette gets finalized, we'll have a better idea of what the Z/28 engine will be.

Yes you should build it, but don't call it a Z/28 as the poll suggests. IMVHO.

Yes, but...
Where possible: Keep weight down. Keep weight down. Keep weight down. Stick to the original 1LE formula, but for the 21st century. A/C and power windows are great, and would require too much re-engineering to delete, it sounds like (IOW, not worth the cost we'd have to pay). Stereos are fine. Power leather seats = NO 9-speaker stereo option = NO Fog lights = NO (turn them into brake cooling ducts) MR suspension = NO. Leave the supercar technology to the ZL1 (and it definitely belongs there). Dual-mode exhaust = NO. Smaller, lighter, slightly throatier mufflers that add 5hp are perfect. Lighter wheels = YES Big brakes = YES Beefier suspension = YES Race-oriented gear ratios = YES Etc., etc. I guess I'm describing our typical Z28 fantasy here, though, but that's very similar to what this car appears to be.

i would definitely get it if i haven't upgraded to a 2SS. Z28 would be a better name, but i don't mind the 1LE at all.

Glad to see some more recent interest in this, hope they build it. Would be perfect for someone wanting something more aggressive than an SS without the ZL1 price.

Simple answer: Yes. I think about everyone likes to have more options when they walk onto their dealer lot to buy a car.
Real answer: It totally depends on the details of whats in the car...the description is sorta generic still (specifically driveline widgets). Will I buy it? Dunno, depends on the details and the price. How does it fit in the pecking order of where the Z28 will end up???
