12.9 @ 113mph
That has to be the slowest time a 500+hp car has ever been run....that camaro ss time (in fact they tested the 2010 ss at 13.0 at 111) and 4280pounds ouch.

Someone doesn't know how to launch a real car. GT-R's are AWD so much easier to launch and don't spin as much. They were .5 seconds slower than others in 0-60. I think the guy on another vid did 13.0 using the launch control junk and never running a 1/4 before.

That article you cited has the ZL1 with a 0-60 of 4.7...
That speaks for itself and I shouldn't have to continue. |

Cold weather (45) and summer tires..... What do you expect?
"Our performance numbers suffered due to frigid air temps. The GT-R was less affected with its all-wheel drive and turbos dealing better with the high altitude and cold air. The Camaro ZL1 was challenged with 3000-rpm launches that were hit or miss for traction even with launch control". |

Well this ain't rocket science.
Look at the mph in both cases..traction was the difference. Higher temperatures or warming the tires or traction compound or proper drag tires and its a whole different story, even if you give traction aids to both cars ZL1 is gonna come out on top Once again comparing a car from a higher class to the ZL1 and an awd car in cold weather at that, what would you expect? Its really a non-test because there is nothing to compare. Its kinda like me racing my Silverado against my wifes Safari. Its a stupid comparison. These comparisons are starting to get really retarded. Is everyone that SCARED of the ZL1, that they have to beat it up with tests that are not properly thought out and unbiased? Why don't we have the ZL1 race the GSR up a snow covered mountain next? I would expect the same results. Come on people ...just admit the ZL1 is KING...
