Sorry really cant tell you why the DFW area got all these cars first. I dont work for GM and dont have an inside track to why it was done. Dont really care why either just glad it was here and I got to be a part of it.

not sure where you came up with 3 dealerships getting 16 cars a piece. the sales manager, who we are friends with, told us that some of the larger dealerships in the dfw area were supposed to be getting 2 cars each. some of the dealerships we drove through/past only had one and were not allowed to sell it

OK, been lurking for ever. Finally had to give in and join. I took my son (ok I was more excited) to see the one that Eldorado Chevy got. Here's a few pictures. It was one that was in the parade.

GM is bankrupt. All these cars and none of them for sale. This isn't even counting the 35 or so camaro's in Houston...

I've held my tongue long enough. They must get the cars ordered delivered and these sold. They are taking away another GM icon. First the OLDSMOBILE now the PONTIAC. Come on, there are thousands of people out here willing to spend thousands on a new Camaro and they choose to build cars for parades.

I've said my piece, I'm sure there are others who agree and others who think they (GM) are doing the right thing.

Dude, I agree 100%. I don't understand why they are building these for a damn parade or baseball game and not giving the people that will put money in their pocket RIGHT NOW their car. . . .

Production orders will be sold. Promotional vehicles will not. Get it?

Anyone else hearing anything from their dealerships. I call once a week just to get a quick update or see if they have any news and they seem annoyed that I call. I'm told I will get a call back and then never hear anything. I guess since I don't have my check book open I don't count right now.

If I had not already put money down I think I would have gone somewhere else, but I'm locked in now!

Anyone got a good news about a butt load of Camaro's shipping?
