I am not looking for top dollar, most dealers have my car sitting on the losts for around $10k, I would be happy with a private sale for $8k, but definetely not willing to settle for $5k trade in offer.

We'll see, I have a couple of months since i am 7 of 9 at my dealer and they are just getting their first one this week.

I don't know what KBB said your car is worth, but generally speaking, they will offer a couple thousand below low KBB trade-in value.

I wonder what payments would look like on say, roughly 36k? Obviously it would depend on the length of the loan ect.. Anyone have a ballpark?

c'mon - it's not that hard to ballpark.

Not counting in Tax & interest your 36k loan would be $1000 a month at 36 months.

$36 000 divide by 48 months = $ 750 a month

$36 000 divide by 60 months = $ 600 a month

You're not including interest.

At 6% interest a $36k loan:

- 36 months = $1,095
- 48 months = $845
- 60 months = $696
- 72 months = $597

For every 1% difference in APR, your payment will go up or down $16 depending on length of the loan.
