My '84 Z28 HO was in the shop 17 times in 11 months, They never did get the rear hatch to not rub on the body or get the power liftgate switch to work, or the................
dealer bought it back from me.
So, what is happening to the OP is far preferable.

They CAN pump out one car a minute. Doesn't mean they'll do it.

Some of the responses in this thread are ridiculous...just remember, you won't ever hear toyota doing something like this.

If the car was bad they should have just replaced it without any effort on your part.

Are you sure some friend of the dealer didn't want your car more than you did so they handed it over to him?

I would be so ticked off if I had one of the first thousand cars built and that happened. they would have to be doing something big time for me... I hope they dont just try to give the you 21" wheels or something to make up for it... the lower the vin the more it would be worth down the road.

Dude, at this point, I don't know what to expect. Who knows what will happen.
