All my Tahoes have had sunroofs, including my current 2007 & my 2011 SS and have never had one leak or malfunction. If it comes from the factory the chances are slim it'll leak...No different than your windows malfunctioning. BTW-I wish the 5th generation Camaros came with T-Tops as an option! Sunroofs Rule! |

I've had one on three vehicles and rarely used it. I didn't get one this time, although I do like the look of it on the Camaro. I could take or leave it. It wasn't a deal breaker for me.

I'm glad there's options for everybody. Some people like them. Others don't like them. For me personally, it was a deal breaker. It's every bit as important to me as the manual transmission and IBM color. If I wasn't able to get the car with the sunroof, I probably wouldn't have even gotten a Camaro. I was actually looking for a used C6 Vette when I found my Camaro. The reverse mohawk is a great look as well, but sunroof for me. I'm taller (6'3"), but the lack of headroom hasn't been an issue. And I LOVE how it looks when it's open. Oh well, to each their own. Sunroof, no sunroof, manual, auto, V6, V8, RS, non RS, the Camaro is a beautiful car. Get what you want and enjoy every second of it!!!

Couldn't buy the Camaro without the sunroof. Coming from a Mustang, the Camaro is really "dark" The sunroof really makes it less claustrophobic.
Also, while I appreciate the non-sunroof roof design, it really can't be seen (appreciated) unless you're looking down on the car from above. |

I want a T-Top. I wish Chevy would do like Porsche and put out several versions of the Camaro. I would love a T-Top model called the IROC-Z. When I was a kid the IROC was one of the coolest cars on the road. I don't care if the race is no longer around (you just know someone will mention that).

Feelings on a sunroof:
I don't have a sunroof in my Mustang. This is the first car in YEARS that didn't have one and I was scared I'd miss it terribly. Living in sunny California, however, I notice most folks drive around with it closed and the interior panel shut. HOWEVER... when looking back, the thing I appreciated MOST about having a sunroof was that you could tilt it up when you were parked and it really kept the heat down in the car. I think a better option for the Camaro would be something like the Maxima has (see pic). It would brighten the interior, keep the mohawk, and not be prone to leaks.

Love it, would never buy a car/SUV without one. Wish T-tops were an option honestly.

I like sunroofs and they don't all leak despite what some people will tell you. I lived in rainy Seattle and had sunroofs in a 280z and a Mustang GT, and t-tops on an old Corvette. Each was used to commute daily, the Mustang for 10 years, and none of them leaked. But convertible tops back then didn't fall apart either, so who knows today.

Yes it may one day leak or something go wrong, but you could say that about a lot of things on a car.

Have always had sunroofs on my cars and used them very little. Wish I didn't get one on the Camaro so I could have painted my stripes over the roof too.
