Yeah in Ontario it is illegal to not have a front plate. But im sure you can contact the license plate government place and order a second plate

I got pulled over and fined first time. No warning, no nothing. Wasn't doing anything stupid, he just noticed no front plate. Even hoped for maybe a little professional courtesy but no. If I remember right the fine was around $105. If you get pulled over hope he likes the car and isn't a .........................................won't finish my thought.

I've driven as far north as North Bay a few times to visit family, but New Liskeard is like a stones throw from the Arctic Circle...........I think I'd feel more comfortable in the Jeep than the Camaro...........you never know when you're gonna get hit with one of those mid July snow storms

Farthest I have gone was Pickle lake, Moose hunting,was like 23 hour drive lolz

Furthest north I've been was around Parry Sound (yeah not very north I know).

That being said the furthest east was right about here. Keeping in mind I drove there and back from Toronto (and all over the place while there).

I was hit twice last July 1 weekend with $400 worth of tickets for no front plate. Thats $200 each time. I told the cop I was still not putting it on. Snap!
Its no points nor does insurance find out. Just an inconvenience to my wallet!

I also was served with $105 ticket for having the the tinted plastic cover in Scarborough. This has only happened once when I first got my SS, so I think the officer just wanted to be an a-hole.

As for front plate, I did not have holes drilled and I purchased a floating front plate holder that connects with a foam bracket to the front grille.

They have a version for v6, v8 and v8 w/ GFX.

No holes necessary, and easy to remove.

I know I am 2nd ZL1 owner in Ottawa as of Feb 16th.

thanks for that link I will have to look into getting that keep that front end tight and clean.
