I agree. I think most of the Ford guys come here to get the most up to date info in one spot whether they want one or not, and then some of the fanatics go off when someone posts something totally irrational about the other car. Then there is a group of Ford owners that are interested in the car and really like the ZL1.

Some people are just really passionate I guess and take it very seriously.

As far as comparisons the the 'V go, I don't think you can really use 'ring times if they weren't from day and track conditions. I know that is just how it is done, but the true info comes from these head to head match ups on the same track, on the same day. Track conditions could mean a couple of seconds on a small track, and an eternity on a huge track like the 'ring. I am sure we will see comparisons to the V also.

At the end of the day, both cars are amazing performers. If you like the ZL1 better, you are going to buy the ZL1. Same for the Ford. There is always someone faster. Buy what you liek and enjoy the ride
Lol, the '12GT500 is not even a competitor, just about every mag agrees, hence the reason Ford will not release one to battle the '12 ZL1 (and this is where the real comparison should be)

The GT500 and the Ford GT are pretty different vehicles—but we bench marked the GT quite a bit. The GT500 and GT are roughly similar in performance up to 150 MPH and the GT500 is faster on a road course.

Should it? I was under the impression that both vehicles are going to be released before next fall?? Why test last years GT500 against this years when the ZL1 comes out this year as well?
