Look, theres no doubt the '13 GT500 is going to have a better 1/4 mile time, as much as I hate saying it. I think the 0-60 will be close, but once that thing hooks up, its going to trap with some crazy numbers (mid to high 120's) but around the track, the ZL1 will outperfrom (IMHO) the GT500. Will be close, but the suspension and handling will outperform the added HP. Time will tell. I know one thing, the ZL1 is going to be the better DD with that mag ride and yes my ZL1 will be a DD.

Why would the magazines compare the 2012 ZL1 with the 2013 GT500 when, according to the Ford web site, the 2013 GT500 won't be available (summer 2012) until the 2013 ZL1 is available (Summer 2012)?

Trust me Bear, I agree 100%, but they will. I have been stating for awhile now that the only fair comparison is the '12 GT500 and the '12 ZL1 or the '13 GT500 and the '13 ZL1. I am right there with ya!!!!

I have said many times, I am getting a ZL1 and no desire for the new GT500. I have a 2011 GT500 now and a supercharged SS and a afew other cars........I am a car enthusiast not a brand enthusiast. When are you getting a ZL1?
