She will kill you for this, but -

Your first drive in your new car is one of those top-10 things you will always remember.

Your very frist drive should be you alone. Learn your car. Hear it. Feel it. CONNECT with it.

Next, you NEED to share this experience with somebody. Call up your best bud and take him out for a spin too. Pop the hood. Talk, talk, brag, smoke a cigar. Do the MAN THING. Feel good, feel proud.

THEN call up wifey. Pick her up, but not before you pick up some flowers. Flowers + your new car = smooth sailing. er, driving...

Take her to a restaunt, but take the long-way. Hit the main and cruise. Let people point at you. Pose for pictures, sign autographs. Consider a movie deal.

Get to the resturant. (It should be YOUR favorite. This is YOUR DAY after all). Order a kick-ass steak and a bottle of good red wine. She'll love you for the date and the fancy new car. You'll love yourself.

Don't forget your friends here at Camaro5.com. We want pics of this date. (NO not that kind!).

Cheers!!!!!

I currently have 2.4 GB of music on my iphone, which equates to about 500 songs. So my guess would be 10 GB for 2000?

It varies. But a rough guestimate is 1MB/minute of music. 4mins * 2000 = 8000 so about 8gb. With the price of flash memory, might as well go big and get a 16gb or 32gb. Think about how much you're spending on the car. What's another $70? You can get a 32gb flash drive for $70 shipped. If you know you'll never use that much, you can go smaller and save a few bucks if you wish.

Will Camaro stereo play playlists off memory sticks / ipods?

Does anybody know if the radio will read and/or play playlists (.M3U files) off of a USB key? Or the playlists on an iPod? So far all the pictures and videos I've seen just seem to have the basics (artist, album, genre, etc.).

i dont think they will.
i think you will have to put each playlist in a different folder, then browse by folder.
this would be easy too. drag and drop (:

This was hotly debated in another thread. I'm pretty sure the result was that it will use m3u playlists.

YES

There are pictures of a Camaro5 member (think it was Richard Goddard) with his USB stick in the center console usb port. It accepts a wide variety of USB type drives and mp3 players...so it works for ALL people...and not just a handful.

YES....thumb drives work.

...which is why I went out and purchased a $35 16 gig USB drive yesterday. NO MORE CD'S FOR ME.....EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!
