guys i did start a new thread in here for camaro fest travel plans. i thought leaving around 9 am thursday would be a good time. hopefully make a few stops to join up with others heading to the fest, time to eat and bathroom stops would get us there between 3 and 5. figured we could all meet somewhere along 80 travel to I74 in IL. and pick up who ever responds. questions comments and suggestions??

Travel plans sound fine to me. I was wondering since the host hotel hasn't been posted yet if any thought has been given to staking out a "Iowa" hotel/motel at this early date? Given that the numbers were over 1200 last time I looked the local hotel/motels are going to fill quickly once the host is announced.

its a great idea, but i want to wait, the nights are so much fun at the host hotel, or so it was last year. i am sure they will look for a place that is big enough for everyone or a few that share a parking lot. but if noting posted by april, i will be with you on making my own.

sounds like a plan,remember that Indiana has funky time setups i.e. some parts do daylight savings some don't. I lived in Lafayette north of Indy, PITA trying to keep times straight.

Hey Bob--- The green lights from EuroDezigns.com are NOT street legal in Iowa. Only the blue ones are.

If I'm correct, in Iowa you can not have red, green, blue(beyond 6500 kelvin) lights or flashing lights on the front of your vehicle. Unless of course you're in emegency response; i.e. Fire Department, Ambulance, etc.

Though the blue ones say they are rated at 8500 kelvin, they are actually 6500 kelvin in performance.
