The point was to have it so when the official launch happened, you wouldn't have to wait to get the one you wanted.

Yeah I know, we are still waiting. Oh well, I know I won't care once I'm in my baby but damn... let's hear about some insane numbers being made in May please!

I ordered mine cause I wanted the CGM. Plus, I get the pleasure of feeling that the car was not driven by someone else (well...not for test driving purposes). Instead of having 50+ miles, it will be less...

Plus, I got time to save more money. And I can say I got a Camaro on order

I want what I want. There won't be a lot on the dealer lots. By ordering I know I'll get a car and it will be exactly what I want. AND I know what I'm going to pay.

Exactly, what was the point in ordering. I taslked to my dealer and the way he explained it to me was that Chevy never had 2 lists - one for preorders like us and one for the dealers themselves. So when they started making the cars on March 16th all the preorders and dealer allotments were together. So if we ordered on October 13th or March 1st it didn't make a difference to them.

i ordered because i am picky, and that is just about the only way to get the exact car i want, also, in texas, once the cars are on lots, they will have a front license plate holder, which i do not want.

I will, I said from the get go.... I am not looking to take delivery of this car in time to put it in my garage for the winter with my Chevelles.
There shouldn't have been any reason not to have this car by Memorial day weekend and be able to enjoy it all summer, I now have my doubts. :(
