Like others stated its a lose lose situation, you happened to get targeted. Just gotta do things to lessen chances of you becoming a victim. Notice some people rolling around your area that aren't from your area. Park under lights, MUST HAVE A ALARM system. That little blinking red/blue led lets them know. They can be tuned for sensitivity. If I hit lock once it goes in to regular lock mode, but if i hit it twice, if you walk near my truck it lets of a chirp. Then goes off obviously if its hit, tampered with. Wheel locks etc... Ask your neighbors if they happened to see anything. Get in touch with the Police, because they'll be back if they think its easy money.

Ouch! $350/mo for a parking spot in NYC? Another reason I'm looking to stay in the southwest lol

I did a mock run-through for you and, for a decent 2-way system (ability to know if car is being broken into via remote), looks like you'd pay around $550 for equipment & install. Does come with a lot of bells & whistles in the basic $299 pkg but it's the tilt sensor you need.

You'll need the following:

- Viper Responder 350 2-Way Security System ($299)
- Digital Tilt Motion Sensor ($79)
- XpressKit Databus All Interface Module - Camaro Specific ($129)

Know that even if you have this, you may anger them next time they come and bust out some windows. But, at least the remote will let you know they're downstairs (Check local firearm laws )

Best Buy will install and test it for you, just talk with them.

NIR!!!!
IDEA

Honestly. Best thing you could do. Is get an alarm system and have it set to over sensitive. It will go off if it rains. You don't have to make it that sensitive but you get the point. Next time those low life pieces of $hit try and lift your car. It will hopefully go off and alert you or neoghbors

NIR, if you have friends or friends of friends who work at bestbuy or futureshop, you can get the viper alarm systems for a great price on discount!

It may not be much, but there should be an insurance discount for having an alarm.

Yeah, the best part is it may not even be you shotting, your neighbors are usually pretty friendly too. Altho sorry to hear about that man, I keep mine in a local garage atm to avoid that very thing, some people... the news should cover examples of what happens to them not pop-star updates

I've had my truck broken into in my own drive way before (don't live in that house anymore) but at least since I had my viper alarm they ran when it went off but I'm sure seeing me run outside in 2 seconds flat with no pants and a gun was the reason they never came back
