Had my VDI doors since May 2010. Installed with the help of my son in about 8 hours.

Once the front fascia was loosen the fenders came off

The cutting of the inner lip of the fender is simple with the right tools, a steady hand and some painters tape

The factory hinge comes off and the VDI hinge is bolted on without removing the doors.

Passenger side kit installed

There are 2 allen head set screws for adjustments

Used as a daily driver with over 59000 miles on Bumblebe Camaro the doors are great. They open about half the distance of a stock door and only lift up the doors at the car shows, otherwise no on would suspect them on the car.

Cisco, what's the exact brand and or/model number of the hand held circular saw you are using in the second and third pictures? I've been looking for one that's heavy duty and high quality. Is it powered via electrical outlet or an air tool?

It's electric. You can get them all over Tommy. Home depot and Lowes has a good selection. Get a name brand

It's a GoldStar SGK-100-5 grinder. I have that grinder since 1985 and I don't think the company is around anymore. It's an electric grinder. You could also use a mini air grinder or a Dewalt electric grinder.

I had mine installed today and turned out fantastic!! Took the shop all day but turned out really well with clean lines and seams. While doors were installed another guy installed the Color shift halos. Tom they are going to be doing the fender vents and will finish up with heritage grill. Working details out with Lupe to install the Razzi kit for me and make final adjustments to reverse hood. (I attempted the reverse hood on my own) turned out better than my brothers shop attempted but that is another story.
I have a feeling I might use more than for just shows at first : >)

I've seen a few at lowes and home depot but they always have a protective plastic covering over the blade that impedes some of the vision while cutting which I don't like. I have yet to find one that has the blade exposed like in the picture. Maybe I should just buy one online . With stuff like this, I usually like to see it first before purchasing, but if I can't find it in the store, I'll buy it online.

Thanks! It seems like all the quality products from back in the day are always the durable trustworthy ones . Keep that tool as long as possible, ha-ha.

Mostly all grinders have that protective shield which can be removed. I removed the shield from my grinder that's why you dont see it on the grinder.

I'll keep it until it stops working. The Dewalt grinder I bough last year is already sounding like its going bad. There is nothing like good old fashioned tools!!! They don't make them like they used to

So true! The quality has definitely gone down as the years passed, lol. I'll have to remove the protective sheild for sure. I thought it was part of the entire attachement. It's hard to see the line you're cutting with the shield on. Thanks!
