I have two good example of reality sucks one is chevy runs deep in your pockets to do it right, and two what happened to Pontiac, that ran so deep their bankrupt and dissolved.

Challengers are awesome, I'd love to own one.

"To do it right" is in the mind of the beholder, and will vary from individual to individual depending on one's wants and needs. One size doesn't always fit all.

I think most people would have to agree, when it come to just RETRO looks the Challenger is one bad mofo. I just wish it had a 8.0 liter V8 with 700HP to lug that big baby down the road. I owned a 09 R/T Challenger in white (Vanishing Point) it was nice just sloooow. I think the ZL1 combines the best of both worlds retro/modern track/strip.

Yup. There are hundreds of examples of SS's on this board that are done right. Thing is none of them are stock and ran deep in the pockets.

When you don't have a valid retort, break out the trusty ol' reliability reports.

I'm confident that there are thousands of examples of Camaro LSs, LTs, and SSs whose owners believe are "done right," and that are stock, and didn't "run deep in the pockets." Whether a vehicle is "done right" depends on one's desired application(s). I think that most Camaros are not driven on tracks, drag strips, or other race venues, and are not driven to their limits, but, in fact, are used as daily drivers and see few other uses. A daily driver is what a stock LS, LT, or SS Camaro is designed to be, and a stock Camaro suits that application just fine at a very reasonable price.

Well, if you look at it from headlight level head-on, it does look like the Shelby Cobra, especially the Cobra concept from a few years ago.

If that's your interpretation of what a Camaro SS is (grocery getter), that's all good brother. Different strokes for different folks.

I think a camaro, especially an SS is definitely designed to be much more than a daily driver.

As a matter of fact I do consider a stock Camaro SS a grocery getter, along with stock Mustang GTs and Challenger R/Ts.

In a nutshell, people have different opinions and views of their car. There are many who are perfectly satisfied with their car the way it is, hence it was done right. There is a percentage who are are not and spend money to make it the way they want.
