Ordered mine from Huffines in Lewisville. Jon Curfman has been in touch on a regular basis and has accomodated a few changes to my order to make sure I get the one I want. No deposit required.

Ordered mine from Classic Grapevine as well.... a LONG time ago (October 2008) but I just never posted it here.

I have to give a perk to those guys at Classic Grapevine. Those guys actually seem to have done their homework and they actually seem to care about customer satisfaction.

I asked Toby to NOT mount the license bracket or put any dealership stickers on my car -- no problem he said. He has let me know when any news has come in about the Camaro and has been prompt about it. Great guy and great dealership so far. If they keep it up, they will have my business for all future purchases.

My dad pushed Mopar all my life since that is what he raced..69 superbee, 70 valiant, 70 duster( all packed w/ 440 hemi's)..i still regret the day my hubby made me sell my camaro..not only is it now gone, but so is he..long story short.. i am ready to have my camaro back! FINALLY. I live in the DFW metroplex and have Classic Chevrolet near by..whew. here's my question..has anyone heard what the wait will be for the V8's.. and will it be manual or auto trans first..no one at the car show could tell me!
I am dreaming of an RS/2SS V8 manual in Silver Ice
Thats what I ordered except in Yellow. I ordered from Classic and so far nobody really knows for sure about the v8s but so far it doesn't look like there will be a wait. Classic is getting 6 in the first consensus. I'm #10. They also told me 90% of the 100 orders they have are V8. So, if you haven't ordered yet you may be waiting, but not becaue you ordered a V8.

Go see Jay (planocamaroguy) at Huffines in Plano. I ordered mine from there with no problems. Jay is the sales manager, and also a camaro5 member and he will keep you updated with the progress of your order. They sell at MSRP and have allocations left.

Any luck finding a dealer near Austin? I emailed a Henna sales guy named Craig Martinez and they said that they would sell at MSRP for new orders but they would not honor the Credit Union pricing.

Scotty, can you help me out? I've seen you post many times that there are dealers out there that will honor the GM Credit Union discount. I'm trying to find a dealer within 25 miles of Austin, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen.

BTW, I had a bad car buying experience at Don Hewlett right outside of Round Rock, so I won't be going there again.

You ROCK! Placing my order with them -right now-! I'd much rather get my order in with them than wait on my small town dealer to first get new allocation, then go through the normal build time.

Congrats wullger!

Jay is great, and I e-mail him with questions all the time, and he responds back very quickly. This is a high volume dealer but they treat you very well. Since Jay is a camaro5 member, he is very well versed on all of the issues and topics. Get ready to drive the car of your dreams!!!

I've spoken with a few dealerships in Frisco and Dallas, but they haven't been following through with information (like CamaroScotty has). I'm going to head to a few dealerships next week, when I get back in town, and I'm going to begin my quest to find the best dealer.
YES!!! Talk with Derek at James Woods in Denton!!! He is awesome!

OK - Anyone near Bastrop needs to check out Covert Chevrolet and ask for Carrie Detrixhe. She is awesome! They (She) will sell you a 2010 Camaro and apply any GM discounts that you might qualify for. Now that's what I'm talking about!

My order is going to be either an IBM 2SS/RS with beige interior or CGM 2SS/RS with Black interior and Black rally stripes. I have not placed my order yet because I need to talk to the wife about it tonight. She said that I could buy one but she wanted me to wait until next year. Ugh!!! But I want to order now!

If she says yes tonight, I will place my order tomorrow, otherwise I will have to wait. ...And watch you guys drive your cars for at least another year.

But if I do get to order, Carrie told me that I would have to wait 8 - 16 weeks for my order to be built. That doesn't bother me because I know people on here have been waiting since October and deserve their cars before me.

Well, that's all for now. Good times!

Here's what I might order and the price I will get:
CGM 2SS/RS w black interior and black rally stripes

Model Year: 2010 Division: CHEVROLET
Distrib. Entity: RET Order Type: TRE - Retail Stock
Allocation Group: CAM Model: 1ET37 - Camaro: 2SS Coupe
ESTIMATED MSRP : $35,895.00

Current Event: 0500 - Order Configuration Accepted ESTIMATED GM CREDIT MEMBER DISCOUNT PRICING: $34,778.43 (Carrie said the price should be within $300 of this number)

Did you ask Covert Chevy how many initial allocations they were given and how many of those they have sold already?
