Dude,
If you have a lift, and the tools. You would be crazy not to do it yourself. I helped a buddy install his Kooks. easiest set of headers i ever installed. We were on jackstands. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

But my mbs weren't dinged at all to fit. Just the info the shop told me before the install and after. But either of those headers are a good choice

I got a set of dynatech from jannetty. Fit and finish are very good and didnt have to mess around with denting tubes or anything like that. Took all of 45 mins to install but I had a lift.

It's not really a even match. The TSP headers aren't built as a budget header. Take a look at them.
They are thicker material (better life, better noise control under hood, better heat control under hood) They have a merge style collector They include either high flow cat or fake cat off-road pipe The TSP header is available with either a 3" x pipe option, stock connection pipe option, or full system all the way to the tips!! |

I think Stainless Power offers all that except the thicker material but is thicker material a good thing? Is there any warranty on TSP headers?
SP has a 2yr warranty and inspected by Stainless Works being part of there product line from China. Installing them on my own is sounding more tempting each day, could save a couple hundred( what I'm assuming it cost to install.)

3-4 hours on jack stands in a driveway. That includes beer breaks.

They are not a hard install at all. Did it in my pole barn two and a half maybe three hours.

Absolutely thicker tubing is a advantage.
Do you want less heat under the hood? Yes Do you want to hear less noise under the hood? Yes TSP headers have a warranty as well! |

Out of those options, I'd have to say Stainless Power. You get the value of the other headers with the reputation and customer service of Stainless Works.

Tough decision. Did any of you that installed your own headers have any mechanical experience, have you ever done it before? I installed my axle-back Solo exhaust.

Thicker material is great if you want heavy headers. CNC mandrel bending is the best manufacturing method for producing exhaust systems and headers that flow and fit well. When this process is used in conjunction with 304 stainless steel it allows for the use of a thinner wall tubing that will weigh less than other headers. Less weight means better performance. If you are intentional about saving weight where you can as you modify your car it can add up quickly.

My mechanical skills are limited..I found the install to be straight forward (not to easy/not to hard) my neighbor helped me...all three of the headers that you are considering have no fit issues..which should make installing easier..
