No they never gave me a contract. Only a receipt and I asked for one and was told that I would get one later when they had prices. I went in later and got another receipt but no prices were filled in and nothing stated msrp. My salesman as recently as 3 days ago re assured me I get msrp. I hope when he is back tomorrow he can clear everything up. I may just loose the grand, hope to know more tomorrow.

These salesmen are vultures....(not all are though) They do not even care for cars in general,
all they want is the $$$ :mad0259

I was told by my dealer that the deposit is refundable by LAW, but many dealerships act as if they are non-refundable. I would do some research about the legality of the deposit and once you know more about it, use it to get your money back.

i agree that it is total but im just looking at it assuming that he can't get his $1000 back. This dealer is screwing you over, i think that the news/media thing may be a good idea. at least give this guy some bad press!

Keep us posted, I'm serious about this. I've used this and other tactics when a business thinks it can get one over on me or my friends, and it almost always works. And car dealers cannot afford this type of publicity today. It cost you nothing, but the hours of frustration and worry for the business is significant. They'll be pissed, but they will give in.
There are many ways to do it. PM me if you want.

The dealer cant keep your deposit without delivering a vehicle. He is bluffing, contact the GM of the store and demand your deposit back. I cant imagine it would escalate any further after that call. Sorry your getting jerked around like that.

Yes I will let you guys know what happens tomorrow when I talk to my salesman. Stuff like this is not very good PR for GM I would immagine. Seems many of the chevy dealers have the attitude they can jack up the price and so what if ya don't like it this car is so hot it will sell. That even further doesnt make sense in this case, I orderd a 2LT/RS the dealer could say no prob here is your money and still sell the car to the next customer. But it seems they want to try and keep the money and sell the car for a mark up. If they don't give it to me for pre order msrp as promised I will not buy it and I will go off in the lobby in front of the customers. I will either get my money or they will call the po po and have me removed. This just isnt right! And his cockey attitude made it worse, plus I was busy at work and after that call couldn't think about my job was so pissed.

Man I agree I will prob loose sleep over it tonite. Will updatre tomorrow. Would have been diff. if they told me the truth. Just last wednesday I was told MSRP and have been told all along the dep. was fully refundable.
