Traded the Camaro In .. - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So Friday I traded my Camaro in on a 2012 GT500 w/ the STV performance package, Electronics package and Recaro Seat option. I'll miss the camaro, but I can see this car is going to be a lot of fun as well. Since the 2013 has some great upgrades, I got the 2012 at a good discount and was surprised at the trade in price I got for the Camaro w/ all of the modifications I had done (I didn't feel so bad about trading it at what I got)...

Anyway .. I'm a car guy and hope this doesn't alienate me from the Camaro group ... I'll post pictures after my first detail (hoping 1 coat tonight and 1 coat tomorrow and then pictures).

Would of never gotten a ford, should've traded it in for a ZL1 or a vette

You guys are harsh. Can't we just be happy for him making the upgrade instead of telling him what he did wrong/should have done differently. I, for one, am interested to hear his take on the differences between his old car and his new one.

GT500 is a great machine. I just can't get myself to like the body style. I was never a fan of the 60's Mustangs either. My first car was a 1989 Mustang GT 5.0 manual. Those were the years of Mustang I "used to" like. (87-93)

I don't see why people have to bash other people's car buying decisions. Two of my closest friends bought Mustangs after I bought my Camaro, and I don't think any less of them. On the contrary we have a lot of fun as all three cars are fairly close performance wise, it makes for some lively smack talk!

Congrats! I like both the Camaro and Mustang. I was a Ford and Chevy guy for the longest time and I still like the Stangs as well.

My best bud is about to buy a new Boss 302 now that I bought the SS.

I wonder if they just thought it would be cool to have A badass ss on the lot hehe. I'm sure their used car guys will have fun showing that car off.

I want to see pics. Interior and engine pics as well.

I was going to buy a GT 500 before the Camaros came out but just couldn't really afford them. I couldn't do a regular GT but a GT 500.....that I could do.

I will go on the record to say I think the Camaro is still WAY better looking but I do have respect for the GT 500.
