Yup, got something similiar to that in my old SAAB 97X Aero LS2 by State Trooper in a smal town in the middle of nowhere. Was passing some Jethro's in loaded down border crossing vehicles. He 'neglected' to turn on his radar detector, but he assumed I was in excess of the speed limit. All I have to say is "GOOD QUESS"; perhaps the paint peeling off the sides of those other cars tipped him off. Wrote me for speeding in excess of 10% of the posted speed limit. How's that for a kicker. Could not prove my actual speed but was confident enough to assume more than 10%. I could have fought it but would have lost. As I said, small town where everyone knows everyone and I was a stranger. Also, I was probably 30+ over.

Pulled up to the gas station last night and the gentlemen at the pump across from me, Looks at my rims, and says "Oh you only got the V6....."
I said "Yeah, I only got the 323HP 30MPG V6. Nice Camry."

We where coming out of my GF party at a local bar/food joint and in the parking lot two of my friends where talking to this guy (I met him once or twice) He say to me... Is that your Camaro? I said yes it is. He then asked if it was a SS and again I said yes It is a LS3 SS. He then said to me... Well when your ready to move on to a real mans car let me know... I work for chevy... I laughed at him and said ohh yea so you work for a dealership? what would be a real mans car? He said well I can get you in a new COPO camaro (the concept copo) I have two.. white and black... So this is when I burst out laughing and said ohh yea you can get a car that isnt in production and you want to sell it to me so I cant drive it on the street when they are off road only!? He goes no they are street legal I was going to bring one tonight but decided not to (so he took his 90's 3 series bmw with no front bumper)... then he goes into the history of copo camaros... I let him talk till I said hold up your talking to a guy that has rebuilt a 68 camaro from the ground up with a 427 in it and you giving me a history lesson on COPO cars... and your trying to sell me a concept car... I said thanks man but let me know when your ready to talk like a real man and not lie about things you dont have ohh and let me know if you get a ZL1 in... have a good night and I walked away..

The comment that I get that bugs me the most (and it's probably cause it's my dad saying it) is "I don't know why you need to put new parts on a perfectly good new car" all I can say is you just don't get it... He has never been in to modifying cars in any way.

I have read all of the posts of people complaining that their Camaro got confused with a Mustang, Challenger or Charger and have always thought to my self "How in the hell is this possible? I can't ever imagine this happening."

So yesterday I was at a gas station and BAMMM!!!!! It happened! "Nice Charger buddy, I really like the look of these new ones" WTF!!!!

Got a few associates who drive Prius cars here. Most suggest/insinuate that my gas mileage is horrible by contrast and "how do I/you feel about XYZ."

I'm always polite, though I do thank them for taking one for the team in allowing me to purchase the balance of the fuel they don't use at the pump...often.

Funny you should say that...the 2012 Camry is just as fast as the V6 Camaro...maybe faster in a strait line...Just saying...

.. the Mustang is because that's the muscle car most people know about
.. the Charger/Challenger because all 3 cars are portly and have hips.

Corvettes certainly have their bad stereotypes, Camaros much less so.

They probably said that because the Camaro is more of a Grand Tourer, and not an impractical sports car like the Vette.
