Wavy rear fender

I can tell you that the Camaro 5 fenders are the deepest drawn fender panels to date. This wrinkling could have occured in the draw process when the panel was formed or paint. If your not happy I would pursue this to be corrected.

let me know how it goes Dznts, if there is some sort of fix to having the panels as they should be i'd be willing to take mine in to. mine is on the rear bumper, i've thought of replacing with a new one to remove the defect but i don't want to pay for what should of been done right the first time/before leaving plant. so i may just live with it and try and forget its there like usual

i will let you know as soon as i hear something back. i have to take it in here in about an hour. my problem actually is with the metal quarter panel right before it gets to the bumper. i am just afraid that they will have to rework the panel. hopefully a pdr guy could easily fix any problems. is your problem the bumper itself?

ya i will take a picture of it for you. my problem area is on the rear bumper itself on the wheel well line. on both sides of the rear bumper just under where the bumper meets the rear quarter panel the sides of the bumper look "pushed in" a little bit.
the half circle wheel well that goes around the rear tire, the bumper part of that is wavy. pics would be easier than explaining i think lol. i'll try and post them tonight or tomorrow night, working late tonight and can't upload pics from my phone i don't think. have to get them on pc then upload unless someone knows a way, thanks

well my dealer told me that its just normal like that, they said if i were to let a body shop work on it that they would never be able to match the paint correctly. i dont know what to do.

Honestly you can look at these cars from all sorts of angles and you see wrinkles like this (trying looking right under the mirrors in the sunlight, it's very obvious), I think there are a bit more pronounced due to the sleekness and lines. Having said that I know how you feel, once you notice something it just sticks in your head but I would highly suggest leaving it alone. My bet is if you tried to repair it, it would look the same or maybe stand out more.

This is just my opinion.
