Nope no ragefit here or tryng to be an internet badass. Your whining about something thats not going to change, stop being butthurt about it. You can either accept it or move on. I read your first post, and you made your point. To keep coming back about it and whining like a child thats not getting his way is pathetic. GM isnt cheaping out they made a car to last, not fall apart within 5 years. Most the options that are on the Camaro standard are options or an upgrade package on most foreign cars unless you go to what they consider their top end model. Driving the price higher than the optioned Camaro with the RS. the HID's are options or a special package on most automakers unless you get into high end models that the standard car still once again cost more than your optioned car. Same goes for dual climate. Start looking at what autos have them. Most the models that have it are the auto manufactures high end cars. Dosnt matter the price. The Camaro isnt GM's top model car. That would be the Corvette, and if you look it has both options standard. They have kept up with standards across the board and made this car equal or better than most in its class. Im glad you are still buying one, but to compare it to cars that are its lesser is just dumb on your part.

Hell, My '08 Silverado 2LT has dual climate control. Lights on the vanity mirrors etc, lots of stuff people are complaining about missing on the camaro. And it cost me $38k. Yes it has a V8, extended cab, oh....and 4wd, 20" rims, etc, etc.

Keep it simple stupid. Also 40k...where in the hell did you get ripped off at. If your gonna pay 40k then you need to find another dealer.
Uhm, at least offer it as an option perhaps? Ford and Chrysler do on their "Muscle Cars".

does it also do 0-60 in 4.7?
the quarter in 13 flat?
and get 26mpg?
no.
lets compare to the v6 then.
can it do 0-60 in 6.0? (if its the 6.0 V8 it mightt. my 2500 HD is about 6.5)
can it hit 155?
can it stop 60-0 in 106 feet?
six standard airbags?
no.
but it can however tow/haul.
it has 4wd
and a larger back seat

these are two different classes of vehicles. you cannot say that just since the cost around the same, they should have the same features. you buy each car for obvious different reasons.

not bashing, just saying.

So are you saying the off-roading boat hauling truck is more LUXURIOUS than the Camaro? I heard someone say "If you want luxury, get a Cadillac."

If a big-ass truck can have it, then why can't a bad-ass muscle car?

Me too dude
with out a doubt.
a LTZ truck will blow the camaro out of the water in terms of options.
and an LT will also beat it with a smaller margin.
the camaro funnels more of what you pay into the performance.

Hey look! Someone who gets it! Most Horsepower per Dollar, not most butt rubbing seats per dollar.

You think Camaro and you think making your tires turn into glorious, stinky clouds of molten rubber particles. You don't think "Man I sure love this soft dashboard and Italian leather carpets"

On the good side though, with all the bitching about the interior, maybe for the next MY, GM will offer an interior upgrade package like you can get on a vette. Then those that want to have a soft dashboard so their manicures don't get ruined, while the rest of us can spend the extra 5 grand on mods.

I like what Fbodfather said about the interior and wanting to keep it lasting for a long time. I may keep this car for 10+ years and don't want my dash to crack like the older vinyl dashes. Believe me I was turned off at first with the plastic dash, but realized that with the dash made the way it is will always look pristine and new for many years. That mustang dash is nice for the driver's area, but the rest of it is bland with the radio. It almost looks like they took it from space shuttle with all those square buttons. The camaro at night with the ABL and 4 pack gauges look almost knight riderish.

The Camaro dash will last for the life of the car that is for sure. I have always hated those vinyl dash cracks showing up after 5 years or more. My '89 dodge ramcharger is a beat up looking POS (but still runs good) and it's plastic dash still looks new under the dust!

Plastic

Go look at my old 94's interior. Garage kept--even when driven to work. Dash cracked anyway after a few years. Plastic dash had a huge sheet of plastic that cracked one day in very cold temps after turning on the defrost. All the shrinking and expanding of the massive plastic dash eventually took it's toll.----Still love the car despite that. I know i'll love the 2010 as there's no way in heck the interior will be worse than my 94 Z28.
