If you read his post very carefully you'll notice it says "If money is not an issue, have the pros do it. It will be a 100k car."

It does NOT say "The only way you will make your car a 10 sec car is if you spend 100k"

Notice the difference?

Which engine does your 1968 have in it?

If you read my sig very carefully you will notice. And it doesn't take 100K whether $ is an issue or not. That's all i was trying to say.

My 68 was bone stock except headers and a 750 Holley. With slicks it turned 12.19.

Pump up an LS7 or throw in a LS9 change the rear gears and you will get sub 11s.

It can be done a lot cheaper. Since you're right about one thing, I also have a friend with an old school 396 in a Nova doing mid 10s. Carberated no less, imagine that. No Lingenfelter or any other overpriced parts, just good old ingenuity and know how.

WTF dude, stop smoking and start reading.
I am becoming convinced no one reads the thread.
He said "MONEY IS NOT A FACTOR"

HERE IS THE ORIGINAL POSTERS QUOTE FROM PAGE ONE: "money is not a factor Im gonna inherit a couple million from my grandparents
I plan on letting pros do it even though Im nearly capable of doing it myself"

I KNOW IT DOES NOT TAKE 100K TO DO 10 SECONDS. I gave him some links of 100K 10 second cars, because "MONEY IS NOT A FACTOR".

I know you can find/build low priced 10 second Camaros and Mustangs for dirt cheap. But the original poster wanted a new 10 second Camaro, and wanted to have the "pros do it".

Read more; post less.

I am in complete agreement with you, it does not cost 100K to be in the 10's.

If the poster wanted to know the best/easiest/cost effective way to get into the 10s, you and LSXJunkie all have great ideas.
