It does NOT say "The only way you will make your car a 10 sec car is if you spend 100k"

Notice the difference?

If you read my sig very carefully you will notice. And it doesn't take 100K whether $ is an issue or not. That's all i was trying to say.

My 68 was bone stock except headers and a 750 Holley. With slicks it turned 12.19.

Pump up an LS7 or throw in a LS9 change the rear gears and you will get sub 11s.

It can be done a lot cheaper. Since you're right about one thing, I also have a friend with an old school 396 in a Nova doing mid 10s. Carberated no less, imagine that. No Lingenfelter or any other overpriced parts, just good old ingenuity and know how.

I KNOW IT DOES NOT TAKE 100K TO DO 10 SECONDS. I gave him some links of 100K 10 second cars, because "MONEY IS NOT A FACTOR".

I know you can find/build low priced 10 second Camaros and Mustangs for dirt cheap. But the original poster wanted a new 10 second Camaro, and wanted to have the "pros do it".

I am in complete agreement with you, it does not cost 100K to be in the 10's.




If the poster wanted to know the best/easiest/cost effective way to get into the 10s, you and LSXJunkie all have great ideas.
