I brought a gun to a knife fight...

My dealership participated in a charity car show this weekend and GM was kind enough to loan us an IOM 2SS/RS for it. Come to find out that until this year, it's been STRICTLY a Mustang show.

And in the sea of Roush Mustangs and old '93 5.0's, and many others, I'm standing next to this...

While most of the guys there were pretty cool about having the Camaro there (and most of them told me on the side that they will probably end up buying one because it's "sooooo much nicer than the 2010 Stang") some of them did feel the need to try to bust my balls a little bit. All of the "that thing only runs 12.9 in the quarter?!? My Roush is faster than that!" was starting to get to me when I'd simply explain that for under $40,000, you're getting a much stronger base to work with than the Mustang GT because let's all face it 426hp < 315hp, right? Then I look at the window sticker for the 2010 Roach...I mean Roush... and it's $55,000!!! Talk about the perfect amunition I need to finally shut these guys up though I really didn't need it. Here are a few of their cars...There was also a 725hp "Super Snake" there that I didn't get a pic of (I think the guy said it was the fifth one ever built).

I was hangin out with this guy for most of the 2 day show...He's pushin' a 632Big Block with somewhere just North of 1,000 hp off 93 octane. He told me he was running 9's in the quarter and he wasn't done with the car yet...

Needless to say, they didn't try to mess with him too much. Then I came across this beast... A 1,350hp Rolls Royce! Guy also had a 500 shot of nitrous in it...

Here are the rest of the pictures...a couple Lambos, an old Nova SS, some more of the Maro, an awesome Buick Skylark, etc...I also got to meet vladkgb from the site. Enjoy!

It certainly seems that the Camaro is in good company. You did some good work promoting an important Chevrolet.
