Add amp/sub to non BA

So I know there's a lot of these threads already, and I've read through a lot of them, so please don't just tell me to read other threads...

Anyways, I have a 2012 1LS, obviously without the Boston Acoustics set up. I know the stock radio doesn't have the RCA outputs and I don't already have a amp that I could just change out. I also know there are several ways to address this, such as a line out converter and such. I know I can add splice one of those into the rear speakers and do it that way, but I'd prefer to not have to splice the stock wires and mess with all that(kind of an OCD thing). I think I saw somewhere that had a wiring harness that could be plugged into the back of the stock radio that had RCA outputs and then a plug for the stock wiring harness, but now I can't find it, so I was wondering if anybody else had seen this or knew what it was and how good it worked?

Yes, I know that means running RCA cables from the head unit to the trunk, and I don't mind. Like I said, OCD thing, I would rather have more work to do and run the RCA cables without having to splice any speaker wires.

Any ideas/suggestions are welcome.

There are generic plug in connectors for GM vehicles. Check with a sound shop in your area or send a PM to Zach or Steve. They are on almost all the stereo threads.

I believe what you are looking for is: http://********.com/Car-Audio-Produc...io-AAGM44.html

I'm looking into adding an amp and sub too. Based off the description this seems to be the solution. I can't seem to find any post from people who have actually set it up.

Agreed..this is the wiring harness you need. The radio will still power your existing speakers and then you'll need to run RCA's and a remote turn on wire from behind the factory head unit for your amplifier.

If you want to keep all your wires in the trunk, you could buy a LOC with a built in Remote Turn on.

Heres the one I used.

I just had one installed... If you do not get a Line out converter with a remote trigger, you will have to fish a "key-on" wire from your fuse box or under your dash. i bought a ******** box, sub and ap. My car sounds killer.

You could check out how I did mine here:

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=191938

Made my own "harness" that plugs in between the stock rear speaker connectors, with outputs to the PAC SOEM-T LOC I used which also provides the signal to turn on the amp.
