Ummm Ahhh! Dont want to rain on anyones parade and I do hope everyone gets built next week including me but.......You have to go 3400 (broadcast) before you can possible expect a build date. Also who is giving the TPW's and do you have a printout from the dealer with it. Mine is at 3400 as of 4-30-09 and I was at my dealer on Saturday, we went thru every screen on the GM Global Connect and Workbench and Dealerworld and no TPW's were listed on mine or any of his other orders. Other dealers have reported on this site that no TPW's are being assigned on the Camaro and have even called DBC and cant get them. Please tell me how you get them so I can show my dealer. Thanks

Hell, at this point I will just be excited when someone with a V6 manual gets a VIN.

You are absolutely right... as far as I know TPW's are no longer calculated. I think most of us were going off a few threads a while back with the pull date and corresponding TPW. I do not have my hopes up that this will be the week. Only time will tell.

Thats what I thought. A self proclaimed TPW makes sense. I have been kind of figuring out the trend as well and expected to be built around the 8th based on when mine went 3000. I think that production has increased though because the move to 3400 was historically happening on Saturdays and now for the last 10 days has been posted on Thursdays and Saturdays. When was the last time you checked on yours. 3400 on 4-21 you might just be built or should have been. Good luck

I wish I could find the thread (although is doesn't matter now).

Anyway... when I went down to check out the two sold SS's (first time seeing in person), the inventory manager told me I was at 3400. At that exact instant, I decided I would not call or check until the car was delivered. And so far I have kept my word to myself. Hopefully she will forget to call me if a VIN pops up. As much as I would like to know... I would be driving myself crazy trying to figure out when it comes. Even if I had a VIN, I would be scouring hundreds of pages of posts trying to figure out how long until it got here. And honestly I just can't do that to myself (or my family) anymore.

I have stated before that I had a TPW of April 20- 27th...given this on March 26th. Now my dealer can't find the TPW or any information on my Camaro. So I have come to the realization that it will happen when it happens and until then I will live vicariously through the members who have received their cars already. From the looks of their pictures and videos it should be worth the wait.

Trying to figure this out is useless. As in my signature the dealer and I seen a TPW on the week of 5/4. However I am showing 3000 only as of last week.

I told my dealer that I was 99.999% sure that it would not happen on the week of 5/4 because so many on this site were past there dates by weeks or more.

I at least got to sit in a 2LT floor car that came in. Same color as mine too.

Chevy cut off the information on VINs and TPWs at about the same time. I got my TPW from the 1-800-mostly usless but sometimes not so usless number.

However, my car has progressed through the system almost exactly how my dealer said it would and he also had predicted a TPW the first week of May. So I sure hope its right.

There may be something to the idea that the factory is more on schedule with pulling orders through 3800 and that the early builds, which are inmeshed in QC as well as some problems with other things being hinted at has caused those earlier TPWs to be way off.

But I really think that as we get closer to the great unveiling on May 6th we will see more and more cars delivered. I mean thousands of cars delivered.

I figured mine to be built this week but was at 3300 on friday. Called the 800 number and said he would call me back today at around 2 with an update. Said he could not get an answer this morning due to updates and my dealer should have access after noon today. Wednesday he's hoping they have a handle on what week my car should be built. Not hard facts just what I was told.

This is almost too funny in a sad way. I'm living vicariously through all of you who have their orders past the 1100 status. I'm feeling all the joy and disappointments you all are feeling (or close to it) as you're delayed, pushed up, getting your cars or soon to be getting your cars.

Is it safe to assume that order status codes are not a reliable benchmark anymore?

I'm glad to see that as I have a TPW this week as well (printed out from the GM order systsm). I bet our cars will both end up on the same transport truck...

My car went to 3400 on Friday and had a TPW of this week. Hopefully it will actually be built this week.
