Front License Plate Frame/Pics Please - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Good Morning,

Here in New York State we are required to have a front license plate. Since my dealer drilled the holes and mounted it, i was hoping someone could post some pics of a frame they have used so I can get some ideas and remove my dealers advertisment/ugly looking frame.

If they already drilled and mounted it may be too late for you unless you plug the holes or get a new bumper. I opted for the Jac-Fab bracket for my front plate. They are a sponser on here, I think. Good product. There are numerous other options out there. Run a search on here and you will find thread after thread addressing this issue. BTW, front plates suck!

If they drilled holes, there isn't much you can do except get a new bumper. I told my dealer not to put a front plate on. When my plates came in, I used a JacFab bracket. It rocks.

I think he's aware he can't hide it. Sounds like he's looking for pictures of different frames, (like the ones that say Camaro, or SS/RS etc).

I feel your pain being in upstate ny also. Advance auto parts has a frame that is just a thin chrome surround with no wording or anything on it. My daughter got stopped once for having dealer frames by a state trooper he said they were illegal. A good reason to ditch the dealer frames & go with some thing not too obvious or flashy.

You may have resolved your delema in these last 7 months but here is are some pics of my front plates with the color key engraved billet aluminum frames (spendy, but look great imo)

I didn't use the factory holded and just bent the plates/frame instead for a flush look.
