Awesome, remember you have to remove the rear wheels and disconnect to calipers so we don't have to bleed the brake system.
As long as that looks possible and we could drop the rear cradle out... Sent while on baby duty.... please sleep |

I looked over the instructions and pictures from PFADT http://www.pfadtracing.com/blog/wp-c...stallation.pdf . The rear cradle definitely won't drop straight down because of the drive on ramps. Nor do I think there will be enough room to rotate the rear cradle 45 to 90 degrees to drop it down. The only option might be to take it horizontally out one side if it isn't too heavy. We do have a transmission jack & engine hoist that may help. I can definitely see the advantage of a frame lift for this job. Even using jack stands on the ground might be easier. |

Just use jack stands and remove the cradle completely with a tranny or motorcycle jack. You need the tail end up at least 16" to slide it out. If you have a 2 post you can do it without fully lowering the cradle which is what I did although in hindsight it probably would have been easier taking the whole thing down. Unfortunately the tranny jack at the shop didn't have straps or chains though so I left it in and cut overhead. Its a good arm workout.

Here's what I recall from memory:
Remove 2 wheels Disconnect parking brake cables Remove 4 caliper bolts Remove 2 lower shock bolts Disconnect 2 harnesses Remove 4 cradle bolts and lower. Or option 2 remove left side and loosen right doing 1 side at a time Hack and slash Install new bushings Reverse the above to reassemble Last edited by Synner; 02-27-2012 at 10:36 PM. |

That was one of the craziest things I've seen! 200 gallons of jet fuel up in flames! The poor guy driving the jet blower never saw it coming!

Should I put you on the list as a mod day attendee? We have a welder but probably no expert user only novice users.
