Went to lunch today and group of about 25 little kids, like 5 or 6 where crossing the street in front of me. About 7 or 8 yelled "nice car". Pretty cool.

First off the interior is awesome, I have no gripes what so ever other than it would have been nice to have the ABL across the dash. This car is like no other Camaro I have ever driven (this is my 5th f-body, 2 3rds and 2 4ths). I would compare this car to my buddies G35 in terms of comfort and ride quality. I haven't really got on it yet but the little bit of it I have done has been impressive. The car doesn't "feel" as fast as you think but you look down at the speed and you're moving. Another great feature that I have grown to love is the digital speedo in the DIC. I see no reason for HUD. I would describe this car as a cross between a vette and GTO, both are high quality cars and the Camaro bridges the gap between sports car and GT.

The best thing about this car is the attention it gets. Like I said I have owned this car for around 15 hours and people flock to it. If you don't have many friends then this car is your answer. On the test drive alone it almost caused on accident and a guy in a suburban refused to go ahead of me at a stop sign. My saleman told me 20 people wanted to buy the car for the one day it sat in the service entrance. I am impressed with this car and it has surpassed my expectations. I would reccommend it to anyone. This car should be a good volume seller and will definantly get people into the dealerships. It will help GM in this tough time. Don't plan on sleeping for a couple days when your Camaro comes in!
Nice write up. Do you think the car does not feel fast becuase it handles the speed so well that you don't feel it or is it just feel like it has no balls?

Thanks

Oh it has balls, I think it's because it's so quite and there are no rattles, groans or creeks. Being that I couldn't really get on it and at the time it only had 6 miles on it might be contributing factors. I just took my 6 year old nephew for a ride and gave it a good amount of throttle through 1st. gear and for some reason it felt much faster. The car definantly moves out, no need for concern.

There where 2 city trucks in front of my house and my Dad (who I work with) said " I wonder why they're in front of your house". I said "probably checking out the car". I was joking but they really where there looking at the car. At the dealership yesterday a Marine stopped in with an 09 Shelby and was kicking himself.
Sweet car dude. congrats! I knew everyone would be getting swarmed with attention. Nice!

I experienced the same thing with the 2SS I drove, its moving fast, but does not feel fast. It is weird. Louder exhaust will help.

As for all the Stares and people talking to you, I still get that 2 and 1/2 years later in my SKY Redline. I look forward to it in the Camaro as well, at least for a year or two!

Enjoy and thanks for sharing!

I think we can honestly say GM has a winner here. It's getting all the attention of a new Ferrari or Lamborghini, if not more. So far everyone seems to LOVE everything about the car, which is great. I couldn't even tell you how happy I would be just to SEE one in real life (my whole state doesnt even have any yet :(. Luckily one of my friends' brothers ordered one ). That's the great thing about cars like this. Everyone sees dozens of Mustangs everyday, but just like when the GTO came out, people will come over and talk to you about it because they want to know more about it. Definitely gonna be a chick magnet and head turner in general.
