But only you know if you are one of those people that expect perfection. If you know yourself well enough to know that then your going to have to pony up, or else your going to be disappointed AND your going to start an unnecessary grudge (and thats why most wont want to touch your car).

If your not trying to restore it, but just trying to get something to look decent and fix the holes, your willing to do a lot of work yourself, and you truly aren't concerned with perfection, as I said, any one of the novice users can do it, as they'd do it to their own cars they are just afraid of angering you.

Another alternative is you can bring a few pieces of scrap sheet metal, have one of the novice users spend a hour teaching you how to do it, and then you can practice a bit and then you can do it yourself.

Just some thoughts

Trust me, I am not looking for perfection. It is a project that I really want to get on track. As long as my truck is not caught on fire it will leave in better shape than it came!

Nice truck mike!!! We had a 79 3500, 454 with a 4 speed.

Someone bought the truck for the engine. I miss it.

Thanks guys, I'll put her up on stands this weekend and take a crack at it. My brother-in-law has an air chisel that I can borrow. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I made the deal on my new truck today. (I'm trading in my Toyota.) I hope to have it by mod day. It may not be a Camaro, but at least I'll be driving a Chevy.

Actually, that is kind of the plan. I have to hold off on getting a trailer for now though.
