It would really help if GM would actually include some details on expected performance gains with their accessories. hard to justify spending approximately $2500 on intakes, headers and exhausts with no performance data at all. Also - please - get someone working on a way to make the rear ground effects look lessy silly with little circular exhausts poking through huge square apertures - a little bit of a change there would make a huge difference to the overall look.
I was originally pretty set on a lot of GM addons but right now it seems a better choice to wait for non-GM aftermarket parts with some supporting data, lower price and possibly a less "rushed" appearance |

No problem with the Headers, Mufflers and the Air Intake.
That is what I was told, I will triple confirm. Robin

I just know in the past aftermarket items such as headers voids it if they "prove" it was the cause which 99% of the time it is not the cause but they like to use that as an excuse. With the company in turmoil they are voiding a lot of warranty work in the Corvette world. I have not had any issues with the C6 though.

No if the GMPP do not void the warranty. If put on tho it voids the 3/36k warranty on the part you replaced to a 12/12k warranty on that part only. Unless installed by the dealer then it is covered under the 3/36. Also someone I believe it was you Robin has some of the parts already waiting on his car and promised before and after dynos with the GMPP. I expect to see that GMPP will not disappoint.

Why would I go with a lsx 454 in my camaro vs. an ls7 when they both ran almost identical times in the hot rod shootout. Dos this mean the ls9 will smoke the lsx 454?

The LSX454 that we tested in the Hot Rod article was a very tired engineering mule. We had actually run mid-11s in a '96 Impala SS with that same engine - about 8000 miles and 100 dyno pulls earlier. Either engine would work well in the new Camaro. While the LS7 gives 505 horsepwoer, the LSX454 will come in about 100 hp more, and the sky is the limit with add-ons.
Here's a litle tip if you are going the blower route: The LSX376 is going to come out as a low compression (9:1) blower-ready engine with forged pistons. It should easily withstand 700 horsepower. Of course, if you want the ultimate in blower LS power, we do have a couple of LS9s in stock. They are very, very limited in production, but they get you 638 horsepower. The LSA is going to be released at the end of this week. It will be a more affordable alternative to the LS9, and it still gets you 550 horse. Or, we've got proven CNC-ported LS3 heads and a Hot Cam kit that will pick you up close to 100 hp - if you just want to do some quick bolt-on power. You can buy all of these parts online from one our dealers at www.GMPerformanceParts.com. It's just a great time to be into high performance Camaros! Thanks for taking a look at GM Performance Parts! No offense Robin. Shouldn't this thread be buried in the vendor section, it seems to me the site is just a pitch for crate engines. I didn't see much other value.
