Sorry guys, it snowed today so our installation car didn't come in. We have some kits ready to ship, we just need to get the installation video done so you know how to do it

They
will start shipping this week, in the order the orders were received, and we anticipate all orders to date to be shipped out within 2 weeks; as soon as they are through production. Each order will receive an email with tracking information as soon as theirs ships out.

At this time, we don't have anything in the works for the fog/DRL lights. Possibly in the future, but we'll have to wait and see.

Thanks for your support and patience!

Can the controller that comes with this system also control other RGB LEDs? I want to add LEDs to my hood scoop and interior and I would like to use a single controller if possible.

It can, with modifications to the wiring harness (which would void the warranty), and the more lights the controller runs, the dimmer they get, so it probably wouldn't be worth it.
A while down the road, we may offer something to do just that, but we have no plans to do so at this time.

Thanks!

True, it is a wireless remote to change the colors and modes of the halos, but there is a switch to change its power source.
  • You can switch them completely off so no power is being used.
  • You can have them run on straight battery power, so they are always on for car shows, looking cool in parking lots, etc.
  • And you can turn them to ignition controlled, so whenever the ignition is on, they turn on; whenever the ignition is turned off, they turn off. That way you don't have to worry if you forgot to turn them off or not, and they will be on while driving, without any special wiring or modifications.
  • The halos do not use any vehicle wiring, it is a stand alone system.
  • The halos do require the physical use of the factory RS headlights.
  • The halos use very little power, you can typically run them for 24+ straight hours (without running the engine) before effecting a healthy battery. We've had them on some cars for 48+ hours, and the car started right up as if nothing had happened.
  • The halos do not require any permanent damage to the headlight assemblies, and can go back to factory without any problems.
In fact, for the Autorama here this past weekend, we used a headlight assembly, installed the halo light, displayed it all weekend, then today I removed the halo light, and returned it to complete factory design and function.
  • The halo installation does not require any electrical skills, any hard to find tools, or any extra parts.
Thanks for your support and patience, I think you will all be super pleased!

p.s. The Pre-Sale thread is now back up, sorry for the confusion!
Thanks for the picture of the switch. That looks like a good place to put it. Might put a switch plate there or something for my footwells.

If you guys can make the non-RS package affordable and make some color changing fogs for my LS, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Not sure if this is a stupid question or not, but if the JDP module is off, are the factory whites on? I currently have an on/off switch to control other LEDs and my light bar (which are all red/illegal :(), and would like to only have 1 switch in my dash.

If I must have 2 switches, I know I can easily use the remote to turn it to red when I go to shows and have white for driving.

The kit comes with RGB leds which allow you to choose white. The factory led gets removed

Are you sure it gets removed? I'm still trying to figure out how that's possible without opening the headlight.

The lights do have a little door that can be open with a couple of screws. Dont know if they are using that or not.

It's a mystery, I know they said no drilling or cutting was involved.

I've been in touch with Jeremy of JDP and he said this mod required no taking apart of the headlights or housing. It consist of some simple taps and connections with their own harness they have fab'd. The whole point of this mod was so that you DIDN'T have to tear into the lights. Some are and have asked or suggested if they (JDP) come up with a kit for non-RS lights they would jump on but obviously that would probably require the lights to be taken apart. The first post from JDP tells what this mod consist of.
Someone even said they have their front bumper off in wait of their kit to come and I'm not sure if that's really needed or necessary since it is, by Jeremy's statements of just tapping and connecting their harness.

I'd assume it's plug and play where you unplug the light and plug the harness between them and mount the device and run the switch cabling. It looked like it had a plug of some sort on it already. I am just hoping it is that easy.
