I thought ZZcamaro was right, but if that is the kind of PM's you've been getting, I am very disappointed in the so called enthusiasts......I don't read a lot of the complaining and complaints, but I am sure you have and do.

I know my feelings were similar to ZZ's, I just wanted to know what my car was being held up for and/or an expected delivery day/week, what ever.

As I told you before, I don't expect GM to tell every little problem and fix that had to be done... I think it all stems from all the excitement and anticipation of getting such a GREAT CAR

I also warned people that ALL the orders weren't going to be done first day/week/month, I don't understand how people just gloss over statements from GM personnel, facts, and common sense, and then blame someone else for all the camaros not being built, or a new problem that occured after prodcution.

The IDL = a small tv in the back of a dealership that most employees don't watch. Think of it as a huge meeting in a conference room with a huge pad of paper with charts and bullet points on it. That is what the IDL is. they have some bulleted text under a window where it shows "live" television (live meaning 10+ second delay from being actually live).

The information that GM sent to the dealers via bullet points on the TV is what I meant by plastered all over the IDL and "I have read". Cheryl/the other two GM big boys/gals made sure to say at least twice that the pre-orders were for the census and they would start pulling orders when production time came around. They didn't those would get first, but the ones ordered on the 13th were entered for the census only.

I said the information and literature that GM put out, not the dealers. GM told the dealers that it was for the census, so if the dealers said otherwise, they either didn't watch it, forgot, or were just being idiots.

Statements such as "We cannot build everyone's car first" is not a direct response to the issue here. I've said it before and I'll say it again - I would be EXTREMELY delighted if my car was the next car built after 13,999 R6P cars had gone through. So many posts thinking that this is about customers being stupid, self centered or egotistical.

14,000 people are not asking for their individual car to be built first, they are asking the collective group of 14,000 cars to be built first. Build the 14,000 anyway you want and PLEASE - build mine last of this group!

So Gm has NO cars to give to dealers for 6 months or more for the general public to look at, sit in, test drive, drool on, etc to make other sales? Sounds like a real good business plan

It can't be done like that, they have to get cars out to get the general public involved and buying....how many camaros is ONE entushiast going to buy? how many are the GENERAL PUBLIC going to buy???

You are 100% correct! It can't be done like that. That's why we all sat on our hands while they built at least one car for every dealership to have customers do just as you say - "look at, sit in, test drive, drool on, etc to make other sales". In other words, these cars have been built already!
