Mustang vs Camaro, my impressions

All,

I just bought a 2011 Camaro, so right away you know which one I prefer. Just want to make a couple of comments from my test drives.

I drove a Mustang last Sunday, v6 premium with pony package. Two things jumped out at me:

1. Mustang ****pit is less roomy, my legs were "confined" on the sides by the door and the center console. In the camaro, I have plenty of room to take a comfortable posture and relax.

2. Mustang just didn't drive as well. The car I drove was fairly well warmed up by the time I got on the highway. I don't know if there is a break in issue with them, but I took it up to 70 MPH, the legal speed limit, then I was chatting with the salesman and looked down and I was doing 60. I had to keep my foot in it to keep it going 70.

The Camaro, on the other hand, effortlessly cruises at 70 or 80. Gas mileage on mine has been 24-25 since I have had it for abou 18 hours, 150 mile drive home from dealer and 45 mile commute to work this morning.

So I bought the Camaro.

I had the opposite experience concerning the "feel" of the car. I took a friend's V6 Stang and she took my V6 Camaro home for one day and the ride back to campus the next. It wasn't a very pleasant driving experience for me... it felt like the car was launching forward and trying to bury me in the seat the whole time. Doing 50 or 60 felt like doing 90 or 100 on the highway. It just wasn't a very smooth ride... you shouldn't feel like you're speeding when you aren't lol

maybe the OP test drove a 2010 Mustang V6 not a 2011 or 2012.
