my exhaust is installed but the hanger on the drivers side tailpipe is not correct and pulls that pipe crooked. exhaust sounds great but i cannot put the tips on so it looks like ass...need a shop to fix hanger and then align it all so i can get the tips on. otherwise ill have to ditch the dual/dual tips for singles and i really like the dual/duals...

Is the hanger just not straight or is it to short.

When I had my Solo cats installed. the installer tweeked on the hangers with a prybar until the tips were perfectly aligned in the bumper cover opening. Wouldn't hurt to try doing this on your own.

That's what I was going to say

, it could be extended but the right fix would be to cut it off and weld a new one on the other side where it should be.

Is the hanger mount (the part attached to the unibody) welded or bolted? I can't quite remember from my 4th gen, but if its bolted you might be able to unbolt it and spin it 180 degrees. It would be more inline then I think.

Looks welded.

1) Fix it right - cut off the part of the hanger that sticks up, and weld a new one on the other side. [like Joebot said] I wouldn't try to "unweld" the old hanger for fear the pipe would get ruined.

2) Quick fix (I probably would have done already

) - buy a bolt on clamp from an auto parts store, bolt it on in the right position (or close enough) and leave the old hanger as is. I doesn't look like it would hit / rub on anything if the new hanger was in the right position.

Or do #2 above while waiting for #1

Keep in mind my most common exhaust repairs include baling wire (albeit on beater cars), so you might not want to listen to me.

ill have to go crawl under it and look as i do not recall. but the hanger is on the wrong side of the pipe, the stock one was on the other side. i dont have a welder nor have i ever welded so i would need a shop (or someone here) to do it for me.

Certainly worth looking - Joebot may be right (his eyes are probably better than mine) and that could be the easiest fix! I'd much rather be crawling under the car than be here at work, but you're too far away.
