I'm close to 36k too. Less than 700 miles to go. Definitely will hit 36k before the end of this month.

Still smiling each time I get behind the wheel though.

'young' Camaros everywhere. Cybil is 30 months old, but she's only got 19,800 miles on her. Could have a lot to do with the fact she hibernates every year!

What is the benefit to the heater relocation kit? I really haven't paid attention to the route it takes now, so I really have no idea.

Is it to make room for something else? help with under hood temperatures?

Some one else can chime in if I'm wrong, but... it's mostly to clean up the engine bay for those not running the intake cover. The new routing goes around teh motor and not over. I was debating this on mine and got some pricing, but I run a painted cover and can't really see the hoses anyways.

Got you beat, 32 months and 10,700 miles.

Need some more trips! 1,320 feet at at time.

I believe its more than that. I'm pretty sure there's some heat soak going on with those lines there. Moving them is a very smart thing to do, especially if you run at the track often.

The new hoses are also metal mostl with rubber connection points. It also takes away the connection point in the middle of the hose that is prone to leak. There are several reason to do it.

I did it to remove clutter and help with the intake temps. I don't run the cover and I also took off the clam shell so I really need to keep the heater hoses away from the top of the engine.

For those with superchargers, the TechFX heater hose relocation kit made it a pita to get at the passenger side spark plugs too.

I think the hose relocate will also help with the gurgling sound coming from the heater core. I never heard the "gurgle" with mine, then again I couldn't hear a dump truck driving through a nitroglycerin plant over my exhaust.
